Following the incident of Kyle’s (Ivan Carapiet) troubling return, which shifted the progress of Erica’s (Kaila Estrada) investigation concerning Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) real murderer back to zero, Erica decides to visit Louisa’s brother, Lemuel (Hero Angeles). The moment she gets there, she is surprised by Lucas’ (JM de Guzman) sudden appearance, eager to help her get the answers she needs. The two briefly engaged in a lighthearted conversation when Lemuel arrived silently. This time, he expresses a gentle demeanor, compared to the past when he’d push Erica away in anger.Altogether, they talk about the recent revelation about Louisa’s hidden relationship with Liezel (Kolette Madelo) and how she had selflessly protected everyone but herself. Lemuel adds that despite being the youngest, Louisa was the most mature between him and their eldest brother, Lester (Batit Espiritu). Back then, it was Louisa who would stop the public fights that Lester would get caught in, even going so far as to beg and apologize to the mothers of the sons Lester would beat up to prevent him from being imprisoned. At the present time, Lemuel shares more of his thoughts about Louisa growing up just to worry endlessly about her rebellious brothers but was ultimately relieved to know that she actually fell in love and that someone had truly loved her back.He finally acknowledges Erica’s nonstop efforts but asks about what Erica would feel if everyone was right all along about Edong (Jake Cuenca) being Louisa’s murderer. Erica remains firm in her belief about Edong’s innocence, though she would wholeheartedly accept her mistake if that were to be proven wrong. She stresses that her utmost purpose would be uncovering the truth about Louisa’s tragic fate, since that’s what a kind-hearted person like her deserves.Lemuel nods to Erica’s explanation and goes on to say that it was his family’s fault, including him, that Louisa had to endure the relentless judgments and rejection from Amurao’s townspeople. He ends their conversation by letting Erica and Lucas know that he will reach out if he finds possible information that would help the ongoing investigations. With a genuine intention, he also reminds Lucas about their similarities—how each of their siblings, Edong and Louisa, was a victim of life’s harsh reality.
