“Bagong Umaga” captured viewers’ hearts when ABS-CBN launched the series in 2020.  The series was headlined by Tony Labrusca, Barbie Imperial, Kiko Estrada, Michelle Vito, Yves Flores, and Heaven Peralejo who gave life to the characters of Ely, Cai, Otep, Angge, Dodong, and Tisay, respectively.The story revolved around six friends whose lives had been unknowingly connected since birth. Ely (Tony) and Cai (Barbie) were best friends, both struggling under the weight of their families’ expectations. Ely’s life took a turn when he met Tisay (Heaven), a journalist who, despite her own challenges, received love and support from her parents, her adoptive brother Dodong (Yves), and her best friend Angge (Michelle).As bonds deepened, feelings and personal ambitions began to complicate their relationships. Tensions grew even more when Otep (Kiko) entered their lives with a plan to avenge his family, setting off a chain of unexpected conflicts.The series brought the series’ characters to life through a talented ensemble cast which included veteran actors Sunshine Cruz, Cris Villanueva, Peewee O’Hara, Glydel Mercado, Rio Locsin, Bernadette Allyson, Richard Quan, Nikki Valdez, Keempee de Leon, Moi Bien, and Ali Abinal.
