Analyn found a temporary home with her foster mother Rosa (Gina Pareño), from whom she received unconditional love.  </p><p>The emotional accounts went on in the 2018 episode “Kalabaw,” where Dimples portrayed the adult Emma, who eventually separated herself from an armed revolutionary group after realizing the extremes of their ambitions. Dimples fascinated viewers with her powerful speech, declaring that she must be braver when she fights for what is right. </p><p>For the 2021 episode “Sobre,” the actress gave life to the poignant story of Shiela, a struggling Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who unfortunately became the target of an online romance scam.  </p><p>After a while in 2025, Dimples stepped into the shoes of Lovella Maguad, the grieving mother of the brutally murdered Maguad siblings. The two-part special episodes, “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2025/5/17/netizens-heap-praise-on-the-cast-of-mmk-maguad-family-story-for-notable-performances-0126" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Bahay</strong></a>” and “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2025/5/25/netizens-laud-dimples-joem-karina-for-compelling-portrayal-in-part-2-of-mmk-maguad-family-story-0829" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Envelope</strong></a>,” were well received, particularly the scene when Dimples confronted the murderer in the courtroom.<strong></strong></p><div><br/></div><div><strong>The fantastical performances that Dimples mastered  </strong></div><p>She also made a lasting impression in the fantasy genre, particularly when she appeared in the 2008 series “Lobo,” in which she was Trixie, Lyka’s (Angel Locsin) dear friend, trusted guardian, and personal seer.</p><p>Around 2011, as featured in “Wansapanataym: Nato De Coco,” Dimples was paired with Dominic Ochoa, and together they formed the married couple Oca and Espie. Due to an unexpected twist of fate, Oca lost his life and was reincarnated as a coconut in order to safeguard his family.</p><p>Later on, in 2013, the actress assumed the role of Daisy Arboleda in “Mirabella,” who later suffered a curse caused by the judge’s wife, Olivia (Mylene Dizon), who found out that Daisy had an affair with her husband. She then perished shortly after giving birth to the protagonist Mira (Julia Barretto).</p><p>As Babaylan Gloria in the 2018 TV series “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2024/11/26/behind-the-scenes-pasilip-sa-mga-kaganapan-sa-set-ng-bagani-1624" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Bagani</strong></a>,” Dimples gave a light-hearted vibe to the story’s progression while being viewed as a crucial spiritual guide and mentor to the Bagani warriors.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Dimples fascinating the audience in family stories</strong></div><p>Throughout the Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama “Only You” in 2009, Dimples flawlessly portrayed Dina Javier, the caring sister of TJ (Sam Milby). It was definitely a precious memory when their father, Teddy (Tirso Cruz III), finally expressed appreciation towards Dina.</p><p>Another success in 2009 was the romantic comedy “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2024/11/26/throwback-the-cast-of-george-and-cecil-2009-2317" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>George and Cecil</strong></a>,” where Dimples embodied Charlie, the relatable sister of George (Judy Ann Santos). In contrast to the aforementioned shows, the 2011 drama “Ikaw ay Pag-ibig” presented Dimples as Agnes Alvarez, with her father Congressman Leandro Alvarez condemning her for getting pregnant out of wedlock, since it might ruin his political career.</p><p>Moving on to a holiday project, the actress joyfully engaged in the 2014 anthology series “Give Love on Christmas: The Gift Giver.”  Dimples worked alongside Aiko Melendez, and they were among the Aguinaldo siblings in the heartfelt story.</p><p>From being a loving sister to a sorrowful daughter, Dimples in the 2015 family drama “The Greatest Love” could have drawn the ire of viewers. The actress built an even stronger reputation rooted in her famous role as Daniela Mondragon-Bartolome, who would constantly clash with her stepmother Romina (Beauty Gonzales) and brainwash her daughter Marga (Andrea Brillantes) to mistreat Cassie (Francine Diaz).</p><p>Soon after, Dimples intensified her villainous charm by starring as syndicate leader Selene in “The Iron Heart” and the corrupt-slash-psychopath Tori in “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/highstreet2024/articles-videos/10-scenes-of-toris-bone-chilling-villainy-in-high-street-23153"><strong>High Street</strong></a>.” </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Dimples committing to her motherly roles</strong></div><p>Taking on more motherly figures also came naturally for the actress, especially during “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2024/11/26/magkaribal-a-rivalry-like-no-other-on-primetime-tv-0921" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Magkaribal</strong></a>.” Dimples made a special appearance on the show as Stella Abella, the mother of the protagonists Anna (later Victoria, played by Gretchen Barretto) and Angela (later Gelai, played by Bea Alonzo).</p><p>Without question, the 2010 remake of “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2024/11/26/throwback-mara-clara-2010-2037" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Mara Clara</strong></a>” was another major success for Dimples. She returned to the Philippines after working as an OFW in Dubai to lend support to Ikay, who was a victim of a traumatic experience.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>The complexities that Dimples navigated through her characters</strong></div><p>In “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2025/5/28/throwback-pasion-de-amor-stars-in-their-most-daring-looks-2015-0320" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Pasión de Amor</strong></a>,” she made a special participation as the young Eduvina Suarez, whose marriage to Carlos Suarez (Dominic Ochoa) deteriorated over time due to their conflicting views on love and her miscarriage becoming the final straw.</p><p>Last but not least, for “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2024/11/26/throwback-julia-barretto-and-miles-ocampo-in-and-i-love-you-so-2016-1516" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>And I Love You So</strong></a>,” Dimples as Michelle was in a romantic relationship with Alfonso (Tonton Gutierrez) until the obsessed Katrina (Angel Aquino), who was also her ex-best friend, schemed to force Alfonso into a marriage.</p><p>Be blown away all over again by Dimples Romana in “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/someone-someday" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Someone, Someday</strong></a>,” kicking off on July 27 at 8:45 PM on ALLTV2, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live on Facebook and YouTube.
