Why Ahmad Mustapha stands as the greatest threat to General Carillo in “Blood vs Duty”

<p>Many would hope to have a righteous leader like Presidential Chief of Staff Ahmad Mustapha (Robin Padilla) in “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/blood-vs-duty"><strong>Blood vs Duty.</strong></a>” Despite his powerful position in the government, he remains grounded, secretly working to eliminate corruption-related cases long before they reach the presidential office. </p><p>Following the events of the Isla Damai massacre, Ahmad sought to find out the truth and eventually gave his backing to Jalil (Gerald Anderson), who was trying to clean Datu Rahman’s (Jaime Fabregas) reputation as the man leading the illegal gun smuggling across the country. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Ahmad identifies Jalil as his first ally </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Before being officially assigned to NLEA and SID as Police Major Allan Espina, Jalil met Ahmad upon being rescued by his troops from Felix’s (Baron Geisler) henchmen inside the Dapayan Warehouse. </p><p>When they had their first conversation, Jalil recounted the massacre of his Tausug people at Isla Damai and declared his desire to bring them justice. Besides that, he disclosed his speculation that the person who ordered the detained Datu Rahman to be abducted is just inside NLEA.</p><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/KO6FBJD3cKk" title="Ahmad entrusts Jalil with a new mission as Allan Espina | Blood vs Duty" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>Ahmad believed Jalil, eager to bring down the criminals through their careful and meticulous ways. Trinidad Hospital.</p><p>For Jalil, he speculated on Marcus’ innocence about the crimes, while Ahmad reminded him to stay wary. When Jalil questioned Ahmad’s objective, the answer he gave was the fact that he wanted to find out who was protecting syndicates, likely the higher-ups within SID and NLEA, especially since the rise in police-graded illegal firearms has raised the national security threat. </p><p>Jalil then felt that there could be a greater reason for Ahmad to lend his influence, but his queries go unanswered. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Ahmad warns Jalil of General Carillo’s capabilities</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>An unfortunate situation occurred when Jalil came across General Carillo (Bodjie Pascua) as he followed Lara, the general’s adoptive daughter and Task Force Alpha’s current head agent. By the end of the video, he called on Marcus to carry on investigating the corrupt officials operating within NLEA. </p><p>Likewise, Ahmad issued an official request asking Datu to surrender to him in two days, which would earn the public’s trust. Datu Rahman kept being abducted because of his past, where he worked for the departed Col. Napoleon Marcelino (Ryan Eigenmann).</p><p>It was the colonel who founded a large syndicate that concentrated on selling illegal firearms, and the Datu was one of the individuals who were recruited, believing that they were doing their part to create a better nation. </p><p>It had already become too late when he uncovered the truth, since countless killings had already begun, including the 1997 Cabatangon Medical Mission. Since he was unable to simply separate himself from the group, he sought refuge in Isla Damai after surviving a maritime disaster. </p><p>Fast forward to the present; the system that the colonel established continued to operate even after his death, and Ahmad urged Datu Rahman to impart the same truth to his children. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Ahmad continues his investigation of NLEA’s superiors</strong></div><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RuDkGuZQxEc" title="Ahmad shares their next mission against Gen. He also shared the same belief as Jalil, particularly that their hiding foes would like them to make the assumption that everything is already peaceful. </p><p>Ahmad then identified several more possible accomplices of their suspect General Carillo, including General Solares (Eric Fructuoso), General Madrigal (Ramon Christopher), and Lara.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Ahmad is angered at the tragic incident at Calle San Aurelio</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Just like he often does, Ahmad watched over the investment deal between the Philippines and Japan, getting furious when he witnessed the explosion of the hostaged bus at Calle San Aurelio, which carried Japanese tourists, and the truth behind Benny (Nico Antonio) and Lydia’s (Nikki Valdez) act of violence.</p><p>Following this, Ahmad and Jalil wondered about Lara’s sudden disappearance right after the explosion, with Ahmad noticing the potential link between Lara’s traumatic childhood and Datu Rahman mentioning a devastating medical mission. </p><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ig0bkHmgyb0" title="Ahmad and Gen. Carillo during “Inside the Truth with Maya Mae Kalaw”</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Taking part in the live broadcast of “Inside the Truth with Maya Mae Kalaw,” Ahmad first offered his sympathies to General Carillo following the untimely murder of Lara. It was initially classified as an accident, but in fact, it had been set up to destroy the illegal firearms on board, pointing to Colonel Marcelino (Ryan Eigenmann) as well as General Carillo’s illicit activities.</p><p>Immediately after, the furious General Carillo contacted General Solares and ordered the execution of Ahmad. A few tension-filled minutes later, Ahmad successfully regrouped with Marcus and Jalil, arming them with proper weapons. </p><p>The trio ultimately triumphed over another group of their foes, and Ahmad took off in a working car and headed to the Malacañáng Palace for an urgent meeting with the president.</p><p>Just as there seemed to be a newfound hope to bring down General Carillo’s plans, General Solares remotely launched an air-to-surface missile, killing Ahmad in the end. </p><p>Will Marcus and Jalil continue Ahmad’s strategies to overthrow General Carillo?
