<p>&quot;<em>Syempre, masarap sa pakiramdam mo &#x27;yon, &#x27;no. Hindi tayo talo sa part na &#x27;yon.</em>&quot; </p><p>This was what seasoned actress Aleck Bovick had remarked during her exclusive behind-the-scenes interview with the CCM Film Productions team, as she talked about the intense catfight scene between her and co-star Irma Adlawan in &quot;<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/sigabo" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u><em>Coco Martin&#x27;s Sigabo</em></u></strong></a>.&quot;  </p><p>Of course, it was not Aleck and Irma who were actually at odds, but their characters, Ibyang and Betchay, who found themselves in a heated confrontation in the August 10 episode. </p><p>Ibyang harbors deep resentment toward Betchay, particularly because she knows that her longtime partner, Paquito (Rez Cortez), has admired Betchay since their younger years. Thus, when she caught Betchay and Paquito sharing a moment at BeerGin, Ibyang couldn’t contain her anger—especially after discovering that Paquito had allowed Betchay to return to work as one of the GROs (guest relations officers) at his beerhouse. </p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="916" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/e5p4rsNUFpo?si=mP3o3zTRnBYOQDAa" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Although Betchay managed to boost the beerhouse’s sales one night through her effective entertainment and sweet-talking skills, her efforts didn&#x27;t impress Ibyang. Instead, Ibyang even made a bet with other beerhouse workers that Betchay would end the night making a mess and wreaking havoc.  </p><p>Determined to prove that her instincts were right, Ibyang stayed behind to keep an eye on Betchay. She confidently told her friend that it would take her only an hour to find a way to kick out Betchay—and she was indeed correct.  </p><p>Not long after she made the remark, Betchay got herself into trouble when she vomited to a customer. The disgruntled customer shoved her away, causing her to lose her balance and crash into a stack of beer cases. The cases toppled over, sending bottles tumbling to the floor and shattering on impact.  </p><p>Ibyang immediately seized the opportunity to lambast Betchay, angrily ordering her to clean up the mess and pay for the damages. While Betchay was busy scrubbing the floor, Ibyang continued throwing shade at her, eventually pushing Betchay to confront her. A heated argument soon erupted between the two, with Ibyang threatening to have Betchay expelled from the beerhouse.  </p><p>But this did not faze Betchay, who further enraged Ibyang when she told her that she didn&#x27;t have the right to fire her from work since she was neither her boss nor Paquito&#x27;s legal wife. Their verbal clash and exchange of sarcastic laughter soon escalated into a wild catfight, with the two women going at each other until Paquito arrived and intervened, finally putting an end to their brawl. </p><p>In this exclusive interview, Aleck revealed that she and Irma actually had a discussion on how they would execute the scene before filming it. She related, &quot;May mga bulungan na. Sabi ko, &#x27;Ate, sige bigay mo lang.&#x27; Sabi ko, &#x27;Mabigat kamay ko.&#x27; Sabi niya, &#x27;Mabigat din kamay ko.&#x27;&quot;</p><div><br/></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F1616357220101134%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="314" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Aleck explained that the scene was a manifestation of the deep-seated anger and resentment that Ibyang and Betchay harbored toward each other.
