Jane Oineza reveals real reason for joining "PBB" in 2014, why chill relationship with RK Bagatsing works

<p>Jane Oineza wasn&#x27;t a showbiz neophyte when she entered &quot;Pinoy Big Brother All In&quot; in 2014. She had been acting since she was four, meaning unlike many aspirants who enter Bahay ni Kuya hoping to introduce themselves to the public, people already knew her name. </p><p>So, why would an already-established young actress willingly trade her comfortable for the chance to become a housemate, where she&#x27;d have to face difficult tasks and the scrutiny that comes with having cameras watching her 24/7? Jane looked back on that decision and so much more in an episode of &quot;Hello Outside World,&quot; the vodcast hosted by Bianca Gonzalez and Esnyr Ranollo. </p><div> </div><div><iframe width="966" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BG_hJ6e8w8c" title="Jane Oineza and Baninay Bautista: BINADTRIP SI ESNYR?! | Hello Outside World Ep. 3" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div> </div><div><strong>From child star to &quot;PBB&quot; housemate  </strong></div><p>While most four-year-olds were busy playing make-believe at home, Jane was already doing it in front of the cameras, though she didn&#x27;t really think of acting as work yet at that age.  </p><p><em>&quot;Actually dati, akala ko talaga nagpe-play pretend lang. ‘Yung parang, &#x27;O sige, ako ngayon si ganito, mamaya sirena naman ako&#x27;.... Naglalaro kami sa studio lang din,&quot;</em> she said, recalling that she and her fellow child actors would enjoy &#x27;luksong baka&#x27; and &#x27;habulan&#x27; around the ABS-CBN studios and sometimes get a little carried away with the fun. <em>&quot;Minsan tatawagin kami ng guard kasi may ongoing na news [airing], tapos ang ingay-ingay namin.&quot; </em></p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit/articles-videos/how-jane-captivated-viewers-with-comedic-chops-cuteness-in-goin-bulilit-days-13259"><strong><u>READ: How Jane Oineza captivated viewers with comedic chops, cuteness in her Goin’ Bulilit days </u></strong></a></div><p>Jane found plenty of time to just be a kid and she enjoyed playing different characters, although her perspective also changed as she matured and began to understand her responsibilities as an actress. But even after almost three decades in the industry, she still carries traces of that four-year-old&#x27;s mindset, reminding herself that acting should be fun, too.  </p><p>At 17, she entered &quot;PBB All In&quot; as a celebrity housemate, carrying the fitting moniker &#x27;Rising Celebriteen.&#x27;  </p><p>When asked why she still wanted to become a housemate despite already having quite the acting résumé and popularity at the time, Jane revealed that &quot;PBB&quot; had been on her bucket list since she was around 10, during her &quot;Kung Fu Kids&quot; days when the young cast of the action-fantasy series entered the house as guests for a special task. <em>&quot;Parang half day lang kami sa loob ng Bahay. Tapos parang gusto kong i-extend,&quot;</em> she looked back. </p><p>Jane became a legit &quot;PBB&quot; fan. She would tune in to the episodes, which made her curious about what it would be like to become a housemate herself. When she finally did, she discovered that watching &quot;PBB&quot; and actually living it are two completely different things.<em> &quot;Iba pa rin talaga &#x27;pag ikaw na yu&#x27;ng nando&#x27;n. And kahit gaano mo ikuwento sa ibang tao, iba &#x27;yung experience sa loob na tayo-tayo [na ex-housemates] lang makaka-gets.&quot;</em> </p><p>A lot can change once a housemate returns to the outside world. In Jane&#x27;s case, her acting career kept moving forward, with more projects pouring in after the Big Night where she was hailed the 3rd Big Placer. At this point of the conversation, Bianca maintained that Jane was already a big star before entering the house, but Jane humbly disagreed. </p><p><em>&quot;Wait lang, gusto ko lang i-correct. Feeling ko hindi naman ako &#x27;Jane Oineza&#x27; bago pumasok,&quot;</em> she said, seemingly amused by the idea. <em>&quot;Parang hindi naman. &#x27;Sino ba &#x27;yun?&#x27; Parang gano&#x27;n &#x27;yung utak ko.&quot; </em></p><p>But Jane wouldn&#x27;t deny that her &quot;PBB&quot; journey has blossomed into a solid support system that further sweetened her career. Sure, &quot;PBB&quot; fans have this &#x27;shipping&#x27; culture where they pair up housemates based on chemistry and interactions, but many of them rooted for Jane even individually.  </p><p>And perhaps that&#x27;s because viewers had the chance to meet Jane as a real person, not the actress who plays different characters. She was so comfortable in Bahay Ni Kuya that she almost forgot there was an entire audience watching from the outside world. <em>&quot;Regardless, hindi ko iniisip kung anong sasabihin ng iba, sasabihin ng tao sa labas,&quot;</em> she recalled. <em>&quot;Napakilala ko naman &#x27;yung self ko, kung sino talaga ako sa bahay.&quot; </em></p><div> </div><div><strong>Jane&#x27;s dream task as an actress </strong></div><p>We&#x27;ve seen her grow from an adorable mini comedienne into an actress with hefty dramatic chops, but there are still a few boxes left unchecked on her showbiz bucket list. </p><p> She names John Lloyd Cruz and Jericho Rosales among her dream co-stars. As for her dream roles, she&#x27;d love to sink her teeth into intense action next. Her recent series have given her a taste of action, but she&#x27;s still waiting for that project that will let her go completely all out.  And because her <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit/articles-videos/how-jane-captivated-viewers-with-comedic-chops-cuteness-in-goin-bulilit-days-13259"><strong><u>“Goin&#x27; Bulilit”</u></strong></a>  roots are still calling, Jane would also love to do comedy again. </p><div> </div><div><strong>Finding home in love </strong></div><p>Not only is Jane blessed with a solid career, her love life is looking pretty good, too. It&#x27;s been five years since she and actor RK Bagatsing hard-launched their relationship.  </p><p>Jane recalled that she and RK first met through work, although romance was completely out of the picture at the time since they were both taken. It wasn&#x27;t until they reunited on a movie project, when they were both single, that they started talking more. <em>&quot;Ang maganda, since may partner kami nu&#x27;ng una, parang nag-start siya as friend,&quot;</em> Jane mused.  </p><p>Being good friends first made their connection stronger, so Jane wasn’t worried that taking things to the next level might just ruin what they already had. <em>&quot;As my best friend, ang saya din na lagi mo siyang ka-chika o kausap, and same kayo ng vibe, same kayo ng humor,&quot; </em>she said. <em>&quot;If it turns into a relationship, masaya kasi jowa mo, best friend mo rin.&quot; </em></p><p>That friendship makes them feel at &quot;home&quot; with each other. Jane also credits the stars, believing that her being a Cancer and RK being a Taurus adds to their compatibility, as they&#x27;re both homebodies who enjoy the little things. <em>&quot;Happy na kami sa simple lang na, &#x27;Salo tayo ng food.
