Maymay looks back on career milestones, shares Vice Ganda’s timeless advice

<p>Maymay Entrata’s intensely captivating presence combined with her high-powered vocals completely took over the vibrant opening sequence of the August 23 episode of “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/everybody-sing" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Everybody, Sing!</strong></a>” Dressed in her elegant red terno, Maymay first performed her Latin-inspired dance track “Puede Ba” and then joined forces with the ten (10) “repre-sing-tatives” from the Songbayanang Events Hosts and Performers as part of “The ChooSing One” round.</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2026/8/24/in-photos-maymay-esnyr-serve-stunning-looks-and-tons-of-laughter-on-everybody-sing-1526" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>IN PHOTOS: Maymay, Esnyr serve stunning looks and tons of laughter on “Everybody Sing”</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>A short time later, the players easily perfected the lyrics to her remarkable self-empowerment song “AMAKABOGERA.” In light of this spectacular performance receiving praise from viewers, let’s dig deeper into Maymay’s preparations, routines, and a bit of personal trivia.</p><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7jAbFayIQ_4" title="Maymay Entrata reflects on her unforgettable career milestones | Everybody Sing Exclusive" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>Given that Maymay has plenty of experience on stage, she would always remember to warm up her singing voice. “Based lang po sa experience ko, importante talaga na nagvo-vocalize muna ako bago ako sasalang,” she explained.</p><p>Maymay also doesn’t complicate things when it comes to pre-show rituals, as she focuses mainly on expressing her prayers. “Nagpe-pray ako ng kapayapaan sa puso ko… Kahit hindi perfect, [basta] meron akong matututunan everytime na sumasalang ako,” she elaborated.</p><p>As for dietary restrictions, she usually chooses to refrain from consuming oily meals or excessive amounts, as it would trigger her acid reflux and potentially cause problems with her throat.</p><p>In response to being asked about her most unforgettable performance, Maymay fondly remembered her first time in Singapore, mostly for fan-focused events, live concerts, or very special ABS-CBN shows. “Hindi ko siya makakalimutan… Hindi ako makapaniwala na nakahilera ako sa mga taong hinahangaan ko lang sa TV dati,” she shared.</p><p>When referring to her most favorite song to execute, Maymay immediately picked her recently released “Masunog Man” along with the sentimental “What We Love.” Meanwhile, for her toughest one, it is unquestionably her career-defining track “AMAKABOGERA.”</p><p>The second that the humorous stories became the focus, Maymay talked about her explosive performance during the swimsuit round at the Binibining Pilipinas 2022. She then highlighted the amusing comments mentioning her mic-drop moment, which was, in fact, planned.</p><p>Even celebrities have their very own idols too, much like Maymay, who would be thrilled to jam with Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino and Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan. Not only that, her international role models consist of Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, and Paramore.</p><p>Maymay actually worked alongside Vice Ganda in the past, specifically for her first Metro Manila Film Festival entry titled “Fantastica” in 2018.
