Keanna opens up about iconic PBB moment with BB Gandanghari, current love life

<p>Twenty years since she was hailed as the Big Winner of &quot;Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 1,&quot; Keanna Reeves made a delightful appearance in the fifth episode of the ABS-CBN Studios vodcast &quot;Hello Outside World&quot; alongside Big Winner Nene Tamayo of the inaugural regular edition. </p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="916" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hRKzS7p__Ns?si=ah6aKt_ef4wYXR9c" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Since her housemates considered her their mother figure inside the house—not to mention their favorite cook who passionately and tirelessly prepared their meals—she was affectionately called “Nanay” by host Bianca Gonzalez, who was the third Big Placer of their batch, throughout the interview. </p><p>She may have gotten embroiled in various controversies prior to joining the highly successful reality show and came close to being evicted during the first few weeks, yet Keanna ultimately won the admiration of both her housemates and the viewers through her motherly care, frankness, and humor. Thus, she made it to the Big 4 and was eventually declared the Big Winner. </p><p>Following her victorious PBB stint, Keanna shared that she worked on several showbiz projects before venturing into business, putting up her own cafe-restaurant and food gourmet brand alongside her longtime partner, Scott Lomboy. </p><div> </div><div><strong>How Keanna&#x27;s childhood was like in Cebu </strong></div><p>While Nene had to take on odd jobs at a very young age to make a living and help her family financially, Keanna shared that she did not have to do the same while growing up in Cebu, since her mother was a teacher and her father was an engineer who mostly worked abroad. Although she was privileged enough to enjoy her childhood and play like other kids, she still experienced selling the items her father made whenever he was on vacation in the Philippines.  </p><p>However, Keanna recalled that she was not allowed to keep the money she earned from selling, as she immediately turned it over to her father. She later realized that he perhaps did this not primarily to earn money, but to keep her productive and teach her valuable life lessons. Aside from selling, she was also “punished” by her father with household chores whenever she received low grades in school—something she eventually came to appreciate as she grew older. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>How her iconic moment with BB Gandanghari inside the house happened </strong></div><p>As Keanna shared how she had grown to enjoy doing household chores and had become meticulous about them, Bianca fondly recalled witnessing this side of her firsthand during their stay inside Bahay ni Kuya—one of the reasons most of the housemates came to call her &quot;Nanay Keanna.&quot; </p><p>The host also revisited two of Keanna’s iconic moments inside the house—her heated confrontation with Mich Dulce and the touching moment when BB Gandanghari (formerly known as Rustom Padilla) opened up about her gender identity. Since Esnyr admitted that he wasn&#x27;t able to watch the early seasons including theirs, Bianca recounted to him that what made BB&#x27;s confession memorable and surreal was when a real butterfly perched right on BB&#x27;s leg while she and Keanna were talking in the garden.  </p><p>Keanna revealed that after landing on her legs, the butterfly also touched BB’s lips, as if it were giving her a kiss. BB took this as the sign she had been waiting for to finally tell Keanna that she was gay, as she shared that she had asked for a sign before their conversation about whether she should come out to on television right then and there. </p><p>Bianca then recounted that what started out as a heartwarming, almost movie-like scene eventually turned comedic when Keanna peed in a corner of the garden while her conversation with BB was ongoing. Keanna explained that she had no choice but to do it there because she didn’t want to interrupt BB’s moment, so she simply went to the spot BB pointed out and encouraged her to continue talking while she did her business. While Keanna’s antics may have seemed absurd, they helped lighten the mood, with BB eventually bursting into laughter after crying upon seeing her. </p><p>Asked by Bianca when they last spoke to each other, Keanna revealed that it might have been around the time she had a boyfriend. Nowadays, her only way of keeping up with and interacting with BB is through her Instagram posts, which she sometimes likes, so Keanna expressed her desire to see BB again because she misses her dearly. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>How she met her beloved boyfriend </strong></div><p>As Nene shared that she has learned to become generous in saying &quot;I love you&quot; to her unico hijo, Esnyr steered the conversation toward Keanna’s love life, with the latter revealing that she, too, often tells those three precious words to her beloved boyfriend, actor and commercial model Scott Lomboy. </p><p>Keanna shared that she met Scott several years ago by chance at the birthday party of his talent manager, who happens to be her friend. But since he was still a minor at the time, she didn&#x27;t pay much attention to him until they crossed paths again three years ago. Keanna took the opportunity to get to know him better, as he was already in his 20s and had just gone through a breakup. </p><p>Aside from advising those who had already given up on love or had unpleasant experiences with it to never get tired of loving again and again—just like she did—Keanna also shared valuable nuggets of wisdom about life in general by the end of the interview. </p><p>&quot;Huwag masyadong i-pressure ang sarili,&quot; she said. &quot;Kaya lumalabas &#x27;yong mga anxiety n&#x27;yo kasi mayroon kayong gusto. Hindi pa kasi darating &#x27;yong time na &#x27;yon. Proseso &#x27;yan e. Kapag binigay ni Lord &#x27;yan sa inyo, ibibigay ni Lord &#x27;yan. Walang oras, bigla na lang &#x27;yan mangyayari. So, huwag n&#x27;yong ipre-pressure ang mga sarili n&#x27;yo. Mag-relax kayo.
