Your Local, one of Makati’s best Pan-Asian joints, is having a pop-up at The Balmori Suites in Rockwell starting this weekend.

Now headed by Chef Patrick Go, Your Local (and its menu) has evolved in many ways but managed to stay true to its roots: hearty Asian cuisine with that distinct Your Local twist you can’t find elsewhere.

Now, you might be thinking, “Your Local is so close to Rockwell. Why are they doing a pop-up there?” As always, there's a method to this culinary madness.

“We are very much looking forward to featuring a refined Asian bistro-style menu in a very beautiful and classy setting like The Balmori Suites,” shares Chef Pat. “I personally think it’ll be a very interesting combination.”

Beyond the ambiance, Chef Pat and his team came up with new dishes — all exclusively available during the pop-up.

“We are very excited for this event because the menu will feature all new ala carte dishes from Your local with a few classics,” Chef Pat points out.

He adds, “The menu that we will be doing in Balmori will revolve around Your Local’s signature flavors (Japanese, Cantonese, Singaporean, Korean, generally asian flavors) with subtle Filipino influences. Our beverage menu will also have Filipino influences and we will be carrying local liquor and spirits.”

“Essentially the menu will revolve around Asian flavors with Filipino influences. Since I am half Filipino and half Chinese, it was natural for us to combine flavors influenced by our food memories,” he explains.

Chef Pat graciously gave us a sneak peak to three of the new and exclusive dishes for the pop-up.

Slow-cooked beef short ribs with black vinegar glaze served with truffled corn and shiitake rice.

The Your Local pop-up at The Balmori Suites is happening from October 27 to November 12, 2023. The pop-up is open daily for lunch, afternoon snack (2pm-5pm), and dinner.
