From capturing our hearts with their cuteness as child stars, celebrity couple Nash Aguas and Mika Dela Cruz have gone on to make us believe in true love, especially now that they’re happily married and continue to tread on their road to forever together.Despite being two of the most popular actors of their generation, they have managed to keep their relationship low-key in the six years that they’ve been together. Thus, not much is known about their romantic affair, except for the fact that it all started during their memorable stints in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit">Goin’ Bulilit</a> and only got pursued when they’re already in their late teenage years.So, we did a little dive on both their Instagram accounts and found out that it was in 2018 when they first posted about each other as they reminisced about their love journey, along with several throwback pictures and clips of them together that showed how they used to have a love-hate relationship back then during their time in the said long-running kiddie comedy program.Although her siblings made her sign a contract that she would only have a boyfriend once she’s already 18 after catching them exchanging “I love yous” via text message, that didn’t stop them from being best friends and Nash from having a crush on her.Then life happened, as Mika wrote in her post, and both of them pursued their respective endeavors, which caused them to drift apart and lose communication. As if struck by fate, they bumped into each other again by chance while strolling at a mall in Quezon City with their moms in August 2017, and the rest, as they say, is history.They may have been posting pictures of them together and of one another on their personal social media accounts, as well as making vlogs together, but the couple was still able to keep most of their love journey under wraps. In fact, nobody had an inkling that they actually broke up for six months except for themselves and God, who they have put at the center of the relationship and have been their sources of strength and wisdom to keep going as individuals and/or as a couple. They talked about this during their <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-news/nash-and-mikas-journey-as-a-couple-is-what-a-destined-and-god-centered-relationship-feels-like-22495">interview with Bernadette Sembrano</a> for one of her vlogs.During their time apart, Mika and Nash embarked on transformational journeys in their Christian faith, in which they experienced both peace and clarity and confusion and challenges as they decided to listen to the Words of God instead of themselves. In the end, God gave them the signs they asked from Him about getting back at each other and the blessing for them to be husband and wife. So, on Christmas morning of 2023, Nash immediately went to their house to propose marriage to her even with no ring and only the Word of God in his hand, which Mika gladly accepted since it’s the answer that she had been waiting for from God.With no news that went out regarding their engagement, they totally surprised everyone when they tied the knot on May 18, 2024, through an intimate garden ceremony attended by several family members and friends held in Tagaytay City.In the same interview, the newlyweds divulged that they are actually planning to settle down in Nueva Ecija, where they’re building their home and own farm.And last July 1, they swung by the set of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit">Goin’ Bulilit </a>and engaged in a lighthearted talk with the adorable “momshies” of its segment “Magandarang Buhay” regarding their life together now that they’re married.<div><ivs-player data-ivs-key="06b9cac5decc13edae3497a22831561a" data-ivs-spid="3001384" data-ivs-vid="3060382"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js" type="text/javascript"></script></div>Check out a few of Mika and Nash’s lovely photos together in this gallery!
