PANGASINAN - Presidential race rivals Mar Roxas and Rodrigo Duterte crossed paths before the final presidential debate Sunday evening.

Roxas and Duterte, who have been clashing on various issues, bumped into each other near a portable toilet at the Phinma University of Pangasinan, the venue of the final Commission on Elections-sanctioned debate.

A video posted by Greggy Eugenio on Facebook shows Roxas bumping into Duterte after coming out of a portable toilet provided for the VIPs.

“Basa, basa,” Roxas said, referring to his hands, as Duterte was reaching out to shake his hand.

Duterte, however, was unfazed and still shook Roxas' hand.

Roxas and Duterte have clashed several times on various issues after the latter joined the presidential race late last year.

One of the issues they fought about was Roxas’s Wharton degree, which Duterte claimed was fake.

Duterte, meanwhile, received flak from his rivals, including Roxas, for his controversial statement on the rape of an Australian missionary in 1989.
