He’s a spy, a hacker, and he’s obsessed with Sky (Andrea Brillantes), but he’s giving us viewers even more ‘dangerous’ feelings because he makes obsession look irresistibly hot. Harvey Bautista’s portrayal of Wesley Mata in the trending series “High Street” is absolutely on point, leaving us all hooked, and breathless.

In a scene dripping with tension, Wesley faced Sky to swear his innocence about the recent hack on her social media accounts. His eyes, a mix of sincerity and concealed intensity, locked onto hers as he tried to convince her he wasn’t the one who tainted her reputation. He then subtly shifted the conversation, fishing for information to see if Sky also suspected their teammate Nikki (AC Bonifacio). Little did Sky know, Wesley and Nikki were the real masterminds behind the hacking.

But admit it, before Wesley's identity as a spy was revealed, we all felt the spark between him and Sky. His smooth lines and killer stares – who wouldn't fall for that? There was a scene where Sky caught him following her, and Wesley smoothly played it off by saying he just forgot something at the office, teasing her that maybe she had a crush on him. And when he mentioned he used to live in the same state as Sky's half-siblings in the U.S., keeping her curious, he joked that she was really interested in his life.

He even offered Sky a ride when she needed to pick someone up. On the way, they ran into Gino (Juan Karlos), who asked where they were headed. Wesley slipped up by mentioning Gino's name later in his conversation with Sky, but quickly recovered, saying he just overheard the guy's name.

Part of his tactic is to ensnare Sky with his charming ways and get close to her to fish for information. In one scene, he invited her to dinner, but she refused because she was meeting her high school friends. Yet, he suddenly appeared at the same spot where Sky and her pals – Roxy (Xyriel Manabat), Kenjie (Tommy Alejandrino), and Sanya (Gela Atayde) – were having dinner, using the excuse that he was just out to get coffee. He even commented on why Sky didn’t inform him or Nikki about her plans, saying it was for the sake of knowing her whereabouts in case they needed to find her at work. Kenji jokingly called Wesley the ‘HR’ and ‘resident epal’ of the office.

And when it was finally revealed that he was a spy working for Tori (Dimples Romana), it all made sense—his obsession and his charming, playful ways towards her. But there seemed to be something deeper; he appeared fixated on Sky, keeping a photo of her taped inside his closet as if he wanted her to be his first thought in the morning.

And what was that flicker in his eyes as he watched Sky and Gino talk? Was that a hint of jealousy?

So obsessed with Sky, he interrupted her conversation with Kenjie and Sanya in a cafe, as he wanted to keep her close at all times. Kenjie quickly saw through Wesley's attempts to win Sky over, leading to that scene of Kenjie flat-out telling Wesley that Sky wouldn't fall for him. So, with his ego bruised, Wesley sought revenge on Kenjie.
