Kenjie’s interactions with Sky (Andrea Brillantes)’s colleague, Wesley (Harvey Bautista), provide moments of humor and tension. During a chance encounter at a restaurant, Wesley inserted himself into a conversation among Kenjie, Sky, Sanya (Gela Atayde), and Roxy (Xyriel Manabat). Frustrated by Wesley's intrusive behavior, Kenjie jokingly labeled him "epal," his annoyance laced with humor.

In another scene, Wesley approached Kenjie at a café and kept bothering him about Sky's whereabouts. They had negative impressions of each other, and Tommy ensured his acting conveyed Kenjie's annoyance towards Wesley. Still unbeknownst to him, Wesley is a spy and hacker allied with Tori (Dimples Romana) in seeking revenge against Sky and her circle. It can be recalled that earlier encounters had already sparked tension between Kenjie and Wesley.

In another scene, Kenjie was duped into blackmail and coerced into handing over money under the threat of his damaging video being released. The frustration felt real as Kenjie got extorted. The perpetrator ran off with the money after forcing him to plead.

There was also a scene where he adamantly refused his father's wish for him to return to the States. In a burst of emotion, Kenjie declared that he would stand up for himself, even if it meant his parents cutting him off. For him, it would mean getting his freedom moving forward.
