From amusing us with their personal stories and sensible sentiments on various topics and situations in the “Isip Bata” segment, as well as their abilities to somehow catch the tune and lyrics of various songs on the spot in “Karaokids”, the adorable Batang Cute-pos of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank">It’s Showtime</a> prove that they’re indeed talented as they showcase their hidden chops in acting in the newest segment “Showing Bulilit.”Launched last April, the segment features kiddos Argus Aspiras, Kulot Caponpon, Jaze Capili, Imogen Cantong, and Mini Miss U 2023 grand winner Kelsey Lasam as they reenact by pairs the most notable scenes from certain local and international movies in the initial round, which titles the hosts needed to guess. They then appear one-by-one on the stage in the second round as the winning tandem of hosts name the actor that they try to imitate.And in the past weeks, the Batang Cute-pos have become the talk of the town and trending topics on social media because of the brilliance and versatility that they exuded in their every performance. Remember the lines “…Ako na lang. Ako na lang ulit” and “She loved me at my worst, you had me at my best…”?Kulot unleashed the Star for All Seasons in her as she played Josie, the remarkable character of veteran actress Vilma Santos-Recto in the classic family drama film “Anak” released in 2000. She truly did a great job in reenacting the remarkable scene wherein Josie was berating her rebellious daughter Carla, played by Kelsey and originally by Optimum Star Claudine Barretto.We know that they’re still kids, but we couldn’t help but get kilig as Argus and Kelsey took on the roles of ‘80s stars and loveteam Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez in the 1991 romantic drama movie “Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit.” And it was apparently the same with Kelsey who couldn’t stop smiling while being teased by their Meme Vice Ganda.Argus and Jaze once again got face to face as they played brothers Raffy and Andrew, the characters of Aga Muhlach and John Lloyd Cruz in the 2005 film “Dubai.” Their performance was too compelling and they remained in character even after segment host Tiyang Amy Perez yelled cut, prompting the host-players led by Vice to tease them.From one illustrious star to another, Kulot then put herself in the shoes of Superstar Nora Aunor as she played her character Corazon de la Cruz in the 1976 classic Pinoy movie “Minsa’y Isang Gamu-gamo”.
