Six years after his last teleserye appearance, seasoned Kapamilya heartthrob Jericho Rosales has indeed delighted his ardent supporters with his much-awaited comeback through the newest ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment series “Lavender Fields.”

As we look forward to seeing how the story of his character Tyrone de Vera, who also disguises as Arthur Pelaez, is going to unfold in the upcoming episodes, let’s look back first on some of his remarkable acting stints on television through the years in this Kapamilya Update feature.

Those who got to follow his decades-long journey in showbiz certainly know that it all started when he joined and won the “Mr. Pogi” pageant of a noontime variety program in 1996. His first-ever teleserye stint was in 1997 through “Esperanza,” which titular character was portrayed by Judy Ann Santos.

Two years later, he was cast in the classic soap opera “Ang Munting Paraiso,” in which he was paired for the first time with Kristine Hermosa. Due to the positive reception of the viewers to their tandem, they were tapped to be the headliners of the iconic romance drama “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” playing the roles of the famous fictional lovers Angelo Buenavista and Yna Macaspac. That was succeeded by another teleserye in 2003 entitled “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas,

In 2005, Jericho transformed into the legendary Pinoy comic and film hero “Panday,” in the teleserye incarnation titled “Carlo J. Caparas’ Ang Panday. Serving as his leading lady was Heart Evangelista, who depicted the graceful and modest woman named Eden.

He was then paired with Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo in the 2007 musical drama “Pangarap na Bituin” and with Malaysian actress Carmen Soo in the 2008 romance drama “Kahit Isang Saglit.”

Fervent shippers of his on-and-off-screen love affair with Kristine Hermosa were surely ecstatic when they got reunited in the 2009 series “Dahil May Isang Ikaw.” It was succeeded by his collaboration with Anne Curtis in 2011 in the Filipino adaptation of the Korean series “Green Rose.”

Echo figured in a slew of love triangles in the next teleseryes that he starred in. First was in the 2012 series “Dahil Sa Pag-ibig,” wherein he got to work with Piolo Pascual and Cristine Reyes. He then broke a lot of hearts and pissed off many viewers when he portrayed a cheating husband in the iconic series “The Legal Wife, with Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador as his leading ladies. From being his side chick, Maja became his sole “apple of the eye,” whom he had to fight for against Paulo Avelino’s character in the 2015 drama show “Bridges of Love.”

He then made us fall in love and sympathize with his characters in the last two projects that he did. We witnessed how love built, strengthened, and broke him as he found, lost, and once again found it in the 2016 romance drama “Magpahanggang Wakas, which he headlined opposite Arci Muñoz, and in the controversial series “Halik, which he top-billed alongside Yam Concepcion, Sam Milby, and Yen Santos in 2018.

And now, after initially getting smitten by him, we have arguably gone on to start hating him as his two-faced character Tyrone, a.k.a. Arthur, is about to pit two women, compellingly played by Jodi Sta. Maria and Janine Gutierrez, against each other in “Lavender Fields.”

Are you as excited as us to see more of Jericho in “Lavender Fields? Well, you better show him your love and support by not missing an episode of ABS-CBN’s newest primetime offering, Mondays to Saturdays on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
