With her doll-like splendor, astounding versatility and acting chops, pleasant personality, and impressive wit and eloquence, there’s definitely no wonder that a lot of people in and out of showbiz genuinely admire Janine Gutierrez.

Despite coming from one of the biggest and most influential clans in the local entertainment scene, she has amazingly managed to stay out of her famous loved ones’ shadows and create a mark of her own. Unlike her contemporaries who started their showbiz careers in their childhood and teenage years, Janine decided to begin hers after graduating from college in 2011. She worked under GMA for around a decade until she made the bold and surprising decision to move to ABS-CBN in 2021.

She made her Kapamilya debut through her appearances on “ASAP” and “It’s Showtime,” then got to show avid ABS-CBN viewers her acting prowess via the “Quarantine Pass” episode of the now-defunct long-running drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” She was paired with Kapamilya heartthrob JM de Guzman, as they told the love story of real-life couple Zaldy and Jex, whose romance bloomed during the lockdown.
