More acts are set to be announced for the festival, scheduled from February 29 to March 1. <em>Handout</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA -- There are a few things to note about the 10th edition of the Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival.</p><p>One is that it will be held at its most accessible location to date -- the festival will run at the La Mesa Ecopark in Manila from February 29 to March 1. Its first 8 years were staged in the foothills of Mt. Malasimbo in Puerto Galera, before moving to a private nature reserve last year.</p><p>This marks a stark change, but organizers assured their regulars that the Eco Park&#x27;s amphitheater &quot;sounds good and reflects the exact same conditions of our last amphitheater.&quot;</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2020/life/01/10/20200110-music-festival.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><figcaption>Award-winning keyboardist Cory Henry and reggae icon Mike Love are set to headline this year&#x27;s edition of the Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival. <em>Instagram</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>Set to perform at the Malasimbo festival this year are Grammy-winning keyboardist Cory Henry and his band The Funk Apostles. They&#x27;ll be blessing the event with their unique soul, jazz, and gospel music, such as in the performance below:</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6m0lk3M3_Ts?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe><br/></figure><p>The other headliner is Mike Love, an icon of reggae music from Hawaii.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fU7hZ3smj0g?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe><br/></figure><p>The rest is a mix of local and international acts, including Laneous, Anomalie, Jesus Molina, Matteo Mancuso, Uncomfortable Science, Brigada, Project Yazz, and Talata ni Tala.</p><p>The festival will also feature DJs, talks with music industry experts -- both local and international ones -- and a host of other rainforest activities such as archery, swimming, and many others.</p><p>The last notable thing about the 2020 edition is that it will benefit the ABS-CBN Foundation and its Bantay Kalikasan campaign -- as part of the festival&#x27;s &quot;long withstanding advocacy of environmental awareness and as a sign of thanksgiving for 10 years.&quot;</p><p>It was said that 10% of the ticket sales will be donated to the foundation.</p>
