<p>MANILA – The first-ever Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) pageant finally has a date and venue.</p><p>In a press conference on Wednesday, organizers revealed that the coronation night will be held on May 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.</p><p>Beauty queen hopefuls still have until Friday, January 31, to submit their applications to the MUP organization.</p><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/TheMissUniversePH/posts/639704393445778" data-width="auto"> </div><p>Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup serves as the national director of the newly formed MUP organization, which is also composed of familiar names such as Albert Andrada and Jonas Gaffud.</p><p>The announcement, which was made in December 2019, marked the end of an era as Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. let go of the Miss Universe franchise in the Philippines after more than 50 years.</p>
