Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and his wife Liza Araneta marked their 25th anniversary as a married couple in Florence, Italy.In a <a href="http://lifestyle.inquirer.net/292348/bongbong-lisa-marcos-mark-25th-wedding-anniversary-2/">report</a> by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the couple supposedly renewed their vows in the same church where they tied the knot 25 years ago.It added that the event was graced by the same set of guests which they had before, with the addition of their sons Simon and Vincent.Their son Sandro, however, was unable to attend because he was in London for school.<script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/BongbongMarcos/videos/1625329940853833" data-width="auto"> </div>Meanwhile, on his own Facebook page, Marcos surprised his wife with a short clip showing some of their wedding photos as well as snaps from their travels together.In between the pictures are messages from their sons, who shared why they look up to their parents.“I think what makes a good marriage especially for the both of them is just how they are so honest with each other,” said Vincent. “They are very compassionate and they really feed off each other.”As for Simon, he said: “My parents have always been on the same side no matter what. Although they have some disagreements and every now and then have an occasional spat about who is right, they are always willing to see the other person’s side and no matter what happens, if anything goes wrong, they are the first ones to see them through.”Sandro, on the other hand, said his parents are the embodiment of what a happy marriage is.“That is all anyone could ever ask for. That is all anyone could see from the both of you. That is what I should strive for when the time comes. My love to both of you so much. I am just so happy to see the both of you happy,” said Sandro.To close the video, Marcos himself gave a sweet and meaningful message for his wife.“It’s really hard to take in that it’s been 25 years because it goes both ways. Sometimes, it feels like it’s been an instant because as they say, time goes quickly when you’re having fun. But at the same time, it’s been like a lifetime because we have been to so many adventures, some misadventures, but the entire time was always filled and is remembered as a time of joy, contentment and of love,” he said.“On our wedding day, I told you that there is nowhere else I would rather be than be with you. There is nowhere else I’d rather be than be at my wedding with you. It turns out 25 years on, I still feel exactly the same way.”Marcos then described his wife as God’s gift to him. “I love you, happy anniversary,” he said.
