But fortunately she kept it all these years because, she told ABS-CBN News, she has found a purpose for it. The tiara is set to go on sale from July 20 to 21 as part of an online auction by León Gallery, organized for the benefit of the 22 Pinoy fishermen whose boat was sunk by a Chinese vessel last month. &quot;I&#x27;m going to give the proceeds to them in the hopes that this gift to me, really, a gift to our nation when I won the title in 1970, will have real value and significance today,&quot; Pijuan said. According to Pijuan, the tiara she owns is a smaller version of the actual Miss International 1970 crown that still boasts real jewels. The ornament is <a href="http://www.leonexchange.com/lot/lot-details/14170/mikimoto-crown-of-ms-international">listed on the León Gallery website</a> with a starting demand bid of P60,000. Pijuan hopes to reach an upper estimate of <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/24/19/ex-dfa-chief-del-rosario-donates-p500000-to-reed-bank-fishermen">P500,000</a> for the tiara, which would match the donation made by former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario to the affected fishermen. Pijuan explained: &quot;Albert del Rosario gave P500,000 and it didn’t hurt his pocket. I hope to get a similar amount, and it won&#x27;t hurt my pocket either because it was never in my pocket.&quot;&quot;It was in my attic.&quot; A preview of the tiara, as well as the other items up for auction, will be at the León Galleries at the W14 La Fuerza Plaza and Eurovilla 1 in Makati City.
