Cult Japanese skincare brand finds passionate beauty fans in PH

<p>MANILA -- Hada Labo skincare is now available in the Philippines and for many beauty fans, it&#x27;s about time.</p><p>Best known for its cult favorite hydrating lotion, Hada Labo, which means “skin” and “laboratory” in Japanese, was launched before a captivated audience just last week at the Blue Leaf Pavilion in Taguig. </p><p>“We are a 130 year-old company in the pharmaceutical industry… and we challenged ourselves... to go into skincare,” explained Michael Sin, president of Mentholatum Asia Pacific, makers of Hada Labo skincare, on how the brand started started. </p><blockquote element of Hada Labo skincare products, including Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion. </p><p>Enjoying No. 1 status for 12 consecutive years, Japan’s leading facial lotion has sold over 55 million units in Japan alone, and is one of the top three drugstore skin care brands in Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. The Philippines is the last country in Southeast Asia to have launched the skincare line.</p><p>Its tagline “perfect x simple” promises a commitment to provide affordable, well-formulated products with no additives, colorants, fragrances, and the like. </p><p>While it has an extensive product line, the Philippines will have only 10 Hada Labo skincare products initially. brand, sharing stories on why they have been long-time users of Hada Labo skincare. </p><p>“I hope that by launching this product, a lot of Filipinos, ladies and even guys, can enjoy this product. It is a fact that all the countries that we enter, a lot of our consumers have developed this passion and love and this conviction to our product, so I really hope that this behavior will also be the habits of the Filipinos here,” said Sin. </p><p>The Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion (170ml) will have a promo price of P599 until August 11.
