MANILA – Former beauty queen Janine Tugonon is set to return to the Philippines to shoot a documentary film.

Tugonon made the announcement on her Instagram page over the weekend, saying she will be accompanied by two film crew from Nu Muses, which recently chose her as one of its first calendar models.

A project of Treats magazine founder Steve Shaw and celebrity photographer David Bellemere, Nu Muses aims to celebrate the “uncensored beauty of the naked body.”

“Done. Booked. Two of our Nu Muses documentary film crew and I are coming to the Philippines! They thought it’d be great to see my hometown,” the US-based model wrote, saying that she misses the province of Bataan in Central Luzon.

“See you really, really soon, Philippines!” she added.

Late last month, Tugonon posed naked for a photo shoot in the Dominican Republic as one of the calendar models of Nu Muses.

Tugonon, who finished first runner-up in the 2012 Miss Universe pageant, was featured in an advertisement of the popular lingerie line Victoria’s Secret Pink last September.
