Michelle Dee is group winner in Miss World head-to-head challenge

Michelle Dee is a step closer to winning the head-to-head challenge of Miss World, where candidates are asked to talk about their respective advocacies.

The Filipina beauty queen emerged as the winner in her group, beating representatives from Rwanda, Aruba, Dominican Republic, and Ghana.

Dee and 19 others are set to compete for the 10 guaranteed slots in the Miss World finals in London on Saturday.

She will go head-to-head with Miss World Turkey in the next round.

During the group challenge, Dee shared that her advocacy stemmed from having two siblings with autism.

Dee is aiming for the Philippines' second Miss World crown after Megan Young in 2013.

Last year's representative in Miss World, Katarina Rodriguez, did not advance to the Top 30.
