MANILA – Plus-size model Ashley Graham has been selected as the backstage host in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant.

The announcement was made on the social media accounts of Miss Universe.

Graham will join Steve Harvey and a still unnamed Filipina co-host.

In an Instagram post, Graham said she is excited to host Miss Universe with Harvey.

“Had a blast visiting the Steve Harvey show and can’t wait to host Miss Universe with him in January!” she wrote.

The next Miss Universe pageant will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on January 30, 2017.

The Philippines has hosted the international pageant twice before, the most recent in 1994 when Sushmita Sen of India won the crown.
