Facebook.com/realbbpilipinas</div></figcaption></figure></div>MANILA – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach gave a short message to the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 candidates after watching them walk down the runway during the press presentation on Tuesday.“Please don’t forget the essence of pageants,” Wurtzbach reminded this year’s contestants. “Why do girls join pageants? It is the platform for you to open doors for other opportunities in life.”“That’s not just a Q&amp;A answer for you to win a crown. That’s actually something that you really have to believe in, that all of this is temporary. You have to think about what you want in the future. You have to plan ahead,” she added.<a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/03/17/15/then-and-now-pia-wurtzbach-bb-pilipinas">Wurtzbach joined Bb. Pilipinas three times</a> before getting the chance to compete in Miss Universe last year. She is the country’s third Miss Universe winner.While she stressed the importance of planning ahead, Wurtzbach also encouraged the Bb. Pilipinas 2016 candidates to “enjoy the moment” and make the most out of it.“You’ll never get this moment back again – this preliminary competition, this press presentation, the coronation night on April 17. Make the most of it, like we did,” she said, as she looked at her fellow Bb. Pilipinas queens.“Know exactly what you want, be firm, and have fun with it. Because from where I’m sitting over there, I can tell which girls are genuinely having fun. Good luck, girls,” she ended.Wurtzbach arrived without fanfare in Manila on Good Friday to <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/03/29/16/heres-why-pia-returned-to-ph-on-good-friday">shoot a new commercial</a> and to squeeze in some quality time with people close to her.She will return for the Bb. Pilipinas coronation night on April 17 to pass on her crown to the country’s next representative to the Miss Universe pageant.
