<p>MANILA – Continuing her advocacy efforts, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach attended a high-level meeting aimed at ending AIDS at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.</p><p>In an Instagram post on Thursday, Wurtzbach said she is “proud to represent my fellow countrymen, but most especially the LGBT community from all over the world” during the meeting, which brought together representatives from government and various sectors.</p><p>“I represent the Philippines and the rest of the Universe,” she wrote. “I am so humbled to be congratulated and thanked by highly respected ministers and directors from all over the world.”</p><p>“There’s still so much to learn but words and promises are just words without actions, right? I want to show the world – the Universe, rather – that I am confidently beautiful with a heart,” she said during the final question and answer round of last year’s Miss Universe.</p>
