<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/regions/6/17/empanada-1.jpg"/></figure></div><p>ILOCOS SUR - A restaurant in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur has a new version of the empanada.</p><p>The idea came to cook Salvador Camanga after he noticed that tourists usually order poqui poqui, a native Ilocano dish made of eggplant, from their restaurant.</p><p>&quot;Ang bestseller po kasi namin sa meals, lalo na sa boodle fight, hinahanap nila &#x27;yung poqui poqui. So why not sa pang-merienda naman?&quot; Camanga said.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/regions/6/17/empanada-2.jpg"/></figure></div><p>Priced at P50, the poqui poqui empanada is filled with mashed eggplant, egg, cabbage and the famous Vigan longganisa.</p><p>The restaurant has been selling the empanada since April and it has become a hit among customers.</p>
