Screenshot from GrandTV&#x27;s YouTube channel.</div>The Philippines will have to wait for another year at a chance for the Miss Grand International crown as the country&#x27;s 2024 bet CJ Opiaza ended her journey as 1st runner-up.India&#x27;s delegate Rachel Gupta won the crown during the coronation night held in Thailand, besting 68 other delegates.The crown is still elusive for the country following the ranks of Nicole Cordoves in 2016 and Samantha Bernardo in 2020/2021.In the Top 5 Q&amp;A portion, the queens were asked of the most critical issue faced by the people and their proposed resolution to which Gupta addressed the issue of poverty and holding world leaders accountable.&quot;I believe the most critical issue the world is facing today is poverty due to overpopulation and lack of resources. Simply put there isn&#x27;t enough for everybody on this planet. I think it&#x27;s time for world leaders to take accountability and to start promoting the idea of enough resources for everybody. We can do this by promoting birth control methods in the different countries,&quot; she said. &quot;I come from a country, India, where not everybody has access to food, water, education, and basic amenities and this is true for most of the world.
