The choir, which includes 360 vocalists and 70 instrumentalists, transcends cultural boundaries with their music as they bring joy, peace, healing and hope to listeners worldwide. And last night, the Filipino audience felt that. The concert was hosted by Paolo and Suzi Entrata-Abrera. The choir sang hymns of praise and songs from different parts of the world. Some of the songs last night were ‘Alleluia from Psalm 150’, ‘Betelehemu,’ a carol from Nigeria, ‘Pilgrim Song’, ‘Let Us All Press On’, ‘The Spirit of God’ and more. Lea Salonga was one of the special guests in the concert and she sang ‘Hahanapin Ko’ by Anthony Castelo, which was composed Jose Mari Chan. Salonga also sang ‘The Story Goes On’ from the musical ‘Baby’, which received a thunderous applause from the crowd. Another guest, Ysabelle Cuevas, gave her rendition of ‘If You Believe,’ while selected Filipino youth narrators sang Yeng Constantino’s ‘Hawak Kamay’ with the choir. The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square performed under the direction of the music director Mack Wilberg and Ryan Murphy, the associate music director. <div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/2024/2/27/meet-the-lone-filipino-full-time-member-of-tabernacle-choir-1337" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Meet the lone Filipino full-time member of Tabernacle Choir</a></div><div> </div><div> </div>
