Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">The cast of Tabing Ilog, The Musical takes a bow as they are joined by the play’s director, Phil Noble, after their performance at the Philippine Educational Theatre Association (PETA) theater in Quezon City on November 9, 2023. <em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The musical adaptation of &quot;Tabing Ilog&quot; is set to return this year, one of its actors Kobie Brown announced on Wednesday.</p><p>During Star Magic&#x27;s Hot Summer 2024, a teaser was shared which revealed that the musical will return in November.</p><p>&quot;Ang samahang ating sinubaybayan, mga himig na ating sinabayan, mga kwentong kinagiliwan, ngayong Nobyembre, may magbabalik,&quot; the video said.</p><div><ivs-player data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-vid="3037655"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script></div><p>&quot;Tabing Ilog&quot; musical ran in late 2023.</p><p>Leading the cast were Andi Abaya and Kiara Takahashi as George, with stage veteran Chaye Mogg as alternate; Drei Sugay and Vino Mabalot as Fonzy; former &quot;Pinoy Big Brother&quot; housemates Jordan Andrews and Kobie Brown as James; theater actors Earvin Estioco and Jude Matthew Servilla as Badong; Miah Canton as Corrinne with Anji Salvacion as alternate; BGYO’s Akira Morishita and JL Toreliza as Rovic; and BINI’s Jhoanna Robles, Tawag ng Tanghalan’s Sheena Belarmino and Vivoree as Eds. Benedix Ramos will also alternately play Andoy and Rovic.</p><p>New characters were also introduced, played by Omar Uddin, Teetin Villanueva, Lance Reblando, Vyen Villanueva, Neomi Gonzales, Red Nuestro and Joann Co.</p><p>The original television series “Tabing Ilog” featured John Lloyd Cruz, Kaye Abad, Patrick Garcia, Paula Peralejo, Paolo Contis, Desiree del Valle, Baron Geisler, and Jodi Sta. Maria as the lead stars.</p>
