(SSPFI) on Wednesday.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/2024/5/31/heart-evangelista-begins-work-as-senate-spouses-foundation-head-1818">• Heart Evangelista begins work as Senate Spouses Foundation head; pays tribute to predecessor</a></div><div><br/></div><p>The new set of SSPFI officers—including Senator Robinhood Padilla’s wife Marielle Padilla, Senator Bong Revilla’s wife Rep. Lani Revilla, Senator Koko Pimentel’s wife Kathryna Pimentel, and Senator Alan Cayetano’s wife Mayor Lani Cayetano—also took their oath alongside Evangelista.</p><p>Evangelista admitted that she felt nervous but said she is bravely accepting her duties.</p><p>“Kinakabahan siyempre kasi hindi ko naman ‘to mundo eh (I’m nervous because of course, this is not my world). But in a sense, you know, even if it’s not my world, I won’t be doing the same thing. So you won’t be expecting me to be going to certain things just to take pictures. I really want to do something and continuously make a change na hindi lang siya para lang artista na nilagay sa ganitong posisyon (she’s not just an actress who was put in this position). I wanna work. So I’m excited in a sense,” she said.</p><p>The actress committed to adjust her personal schedules to accommodate her responsibilities for SSPFI.</p><p>“Mag-aadjust tayong lahat (We will all adjust). So dextrose level na po ‘to,” she said in jest.  </p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/2024/6/3/heart-evangelista-mariel-padilla-named-new-officers-of-senate-spouses-foundation-1056">• Heart Evangelista, Mariel Padilla named new officers of Senate Spouses Foundation</a></div><p>Evangelista found an avid supporter in her husband, Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero, saying she constantly asks him for advice. </p><p>“Medyo OC siya pagdating sa mga detalye (He is a bit OC with details) so I guess in a sense it’s also good kasi kahit ibang mundo namin (even if our worlds are different) I was very trained well by Chiz,” she remarked.</p><p>“But it’s nice kasi (because) he gave me leeway sa mga gusto kong gawin (in what I want to do) and he’s very supportive so nakakatuwa (I’m glad).</p><p>According to Escudero, he advised his wife to not allow pressure to get to her.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/5/23/chiz-heart-feels-pressured-over-new-role-as-head-of-senate-spouses-1348">• Escudero says wife Heart feels pressured over new role as head of Senate spouses</a> </div><p>“Huwag magpa-pressure. At na hindi dapat nagpapa-pressure sa anomang pagkukumpara kaninoman nagdaan man o hinaharap,” the Senate leader said.</p><p>(Don’t be pressured. Just do what you can. She doesn’t have any barometer of what to do other than her capabilities.
