I was so nervous, and it&#x27;s a whole different world for me. I&#x27;ve never immersed myself in theater before, so this is really the first time. I&#x27;m very, very happy. When I was a kid, I always dreamed of doing a musical in front of the mirror. I would sing &#x27;Mamma Mia&#x27; songs and &#x27;Phantom of the Opera.&#x27; Ang laking honor sa akin,&quot; Ramirez said.</p><p>Ramirez also expressed her gratitude to Sandbox Collective for giving her the opportunity to explore a new facet of her acting career, especially considering her background in television and movies. </p><p>“Sobrang hirap guys! It&#x27;s a lot of work talaga like memorizing all your lines. It has to be word per word; it&#x27;s not like TV na you kinda tweak it a bit. Respeto mo dun sa script na parang this has been here even before I was born,” she admitted.</p><p>Then there is also the pressure on her. “I really have to double up the work. I do voice lessons. Sometimes before we go to rehearsals EJ Yatco, our musical director, has been helping me so much, teaching me techniques na all this time mali pala &#x27;yung techniques ko when I sing,” she said.</p><p>Ramirez will be sharing the role of Audrey with &quot;It’s Showtime&quot; host Karylle Tatlonghari, who was allowed by her &quot;Showtime&quot; family to take on this new endeavor. </p><p>Karylle, who also has a deep love for the movie &quot;Little Shop of Horrors,&quot; expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming production. “I’ve always loved it and I didn’t know so many people liked it din pala kaya medyo shocked ako na ang dami kong kaibigan na sinasabi can we buy tickets. Sinasabi ko wala pa akong show dates. &#x27;Please let us know right away&#x27; eh usually nag-threaten ako sa Facebook pag hindi kayo nanood ng play please unfriend me na. Ito inuunahan nila ako. Sabi ko okay &#x27;yung panahon pala natin. Everyone will love and enjoy it,” she said.</p><p>The cast will also feature Reb Atadero and Nyoy Volante alternating in the role of the lovelorn Seymour.</p><div><em>&quot;Little Shop of Horrors&quot; is directed by Toff de Venecia, with Ejay Yatco as musical director. It will run all weekends from July 6 to 28 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater, Bonifacio Global City, with shows at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and 8 p.m. on Fridays.</em></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
