Anna Cerezo, ABS-CBN News"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Sam Verzosa auctions a luxury supercar. <em>Anna Cerezo, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA -- TV host and businessman Sam Verzosa, known for his collection of the country’s most luxurious and coveted cars, parted with ten of his vehicles to help fund the construction of a Dialysis and Diagnostic Center in Sampaloc, Manila.</p><p>This included one of his most prized possessions -- a Bentley that was his late father’s dream car, </p><p>“Yun [Bentley] pinaka-sentimental car diyan. Inisip ko kung gusto ko keep or benta kasi wala na father ko. It was one of his dream cars. ‘Yon rinequest niya sakin sana bilhin ko. Pero noong na-order ko na, he passed away before it arrived,” Verzosa explained in an interview held after the auction, Sunday afternoon.</p><p>Verzosa admitted he struggled to let go of the P20-million car his dad had longed for, but ultimately decided to part with it as he believed his father, who also went through dialysis, would be proud of this choice as it honors the lessons he wanted to instill in him.</p><p>“Inisip ko kung keep ko for sentimental purposes or ibebenta ko. Pero mas matuwa tatay ko. Siya nagturo sa akin magbigay. Kahit walang-wala kami, last money, tumutulong siya,” he explained.</p><p>“Kaya I think kung alam niya mapunta to sa dialysis patients, I think maging proud siya sa taas kasi matutuwa siya. Pang check-up ospital, dialysis. This came from people asking help. Everyday from social media ko. ‘Yan lang hinihingi. Paano sila tutulong sa pamilya or may sakit. Naawa ko kailangan may gawin tayo,” he reasoned.</p><p>Other luxury and supercars from his impressive collection sold at the auction were units from Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Mclaren, Maserati, Audi, BMW, Lamborghini.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
