HandoutMANILA — Get ready, collectors — your shelf space is about to get a whole lot more exciting.</div>Funko, the U.S.-based pop culture lifestyle brand known for its iconic Pop! vinyl figures, is set to open its first flagship store in Southeast Asia on July 12, 2025, at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.The 1,300-square-foot store marks a major milestone in Funko’s global expansion and aims to cater to the Philippines’ vibrant and growing fan community. The launch is made possible through a partnership with local distributor Funtastik Enterprises Corporation.“We’re creating a destination where fans and consumers can come together, discover new favorites and get closer to the characters and stories they love,” said Andy Clempson, Funko’s vice president of sales for the Asia-Pacific region, during a media preview held Thursday, June 26. “The energy, creativity, and loyalty of the Filipino Funko community made it clear to us that the Philippines is the perfect home for our first Funko store in Southeast Asia.”<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1750984212907FunkoPopMOA-0027.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>Sneak peek of Funko&#x27;s Southeast Asia flagship store at SM MOA. Handout</div>The immersive retail space will offer more than 1,000 products, including exclusive Philippine-themed collectibles, Asia-only limited editions, and locally branded apparel. The store will also feature interactive zones celebrating major franchises like Disney, Marvel, DC, and popular anime series. Among its highlights is the Funko Funcade, a retro-style arcade experience with photo ops and interactive displays.Franklin Lao, president of Funtastik Enterprises, said the store was built with the same passion that Filipino collectors bring to the hobby. “We wanted to create a space that feels like home for collectors and pop culture lovers. This launch means a lot, not just to us, but to every Funko fan in the Philippines who has been waiting for something like this.
