That vision takes a major step forward with the introduction of Dela Rosa Gardens, a new 2,600-square-meter park tucked in the core of the Makati Central Business District (CBD).Slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2028, the new public space, located near Ayala Triangle Gardens, Legazpi Active Park, and Washington SyCip Park, is the latest addition to what developers call the “Emerald Network” — a master plan linking Makati’s green spaces through pedestrian walkways and shaded corridors. Developed by Ayala Land, the park reflects the real estate giant’s broader commitment to sustainable development. From energy-efficient infrastructure to native landscaping and passive cooling design, the park incorporates eco-conscious strategies aimed at lowering urban heat and encouraging low-impact mobility. It also connects directly to Makati’s elevated walkway system, giving commuters shaded access to offices, malls, transit hubs, and residential areas.“It is a space that invites people to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — with nature and with each other,” Ayala Land said in a statement. “It’s a reminder that progress does not have to come at the cost of nature — and that with the right vision, even the busiest business district can bloom.”The Dela Rosa Gardens also foreshadows future development in the area. An Ayala Land Premier residential project is in the pipeline just steps away, reinforcing the trend toward integrated, accessible urban living in the CBD. Located right next to the BPI Civic Plaza and just a short walk from BPI Tower and other key offices in the CBD, the park will be surrounded by cultural venues, schools, corporate towers, and hospitals — underscoring its role as both a neighborhood refuge and a city centerpiece.Already, green spaces like these have become venues for events such as Art in the Park, weekend pop-ups, and Car-Free Sundays. With Dela Rosa Gardens joining the mix, Makati’s evolution from a concrete jungle into a connected, breathable metropolis continues — one pocket park at a time.
