Handout</div>MANILA — Towering higher than the Statue of Liberty, the 60-meter stainless steel figure “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2024/12/23/victor-s-big-move-signals-a-banking-revolution-1555">The Victor</a>” has quickly become one of the Philippines’ most striking landmarks since its unveiling in 2023.Located at Bridgetowne, Robinsons Land Corp.’s 32-hectare estate that straddles Pasig and Quezon City, the sculpture was recently honored at the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards, where it won Best Landmark.Weighing 330 tons, The Victor was created by Filipino-American artist Jefrë and is considered <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/life/08/09/23/new-ph-art-installation-taller-than-statue-of-liberty">the tallest multimedia sculpture in the country</a> and among the largest public art installations in the world. The work incorporates lighting and projection technology, turning its perforated stainless steel frame into a canvas for immersive displays.The towering figure, its fist raised in triumph, was designed as a symbol of Filipino strength and perseverance. “The Victor stands tall and proud — just like the many Filipinos who have made a mark across the world,” Robinsons Land president and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio said in a statement. “We at RLC are honored to bring this symbol of triumph to life, celebrating the strength, creativity, and global spirit of the Filipino people.”Jefrë drew inspiration from the life of John Gokongwei Jr., the late founder of JG Summit Holdings, Robinsons Land’s parent company. Gokongwei’s story of building a business empire from modest beginnings is echoed in the monument’s theme of resilience and ambition.The Victor serves as <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/2025/7/30/asia-s-first-tournament-grade-pickleball-center-to-rise-in-bridgetowne-1440">the centerpiece of Bridgetowne</a>, a township development that previously won Best Township Development and Best Township Masterplan Design at the 2022 PropertyGuru awards. The estate features residential towers, office spaces, the upscale Opus Mall, and the upcoming Fili Hotel, which bills itself as the first Filipino five-star hotel.
