MANILA -- New York-based musician Eric Celerio is set to drop his latest album in the Philippines titled &quot;Piano Reflections.&quot; The son of National Artist for Music Levi Celerio, Eric&#x27;s first-ever solo piano recording features 13 original short tracks, which he recorded in New York. &quot;Piano Reflections&quot; will be released under a distributorship deal with Star Music. It will be out on all major streaming platforms on Friday, August 29.    In 2022, Eric released his debut album in the Philippines “Celerio By Celerio,” which is a tribute to his father.Eric grew up in New York. He moved to the US from the Philippines at age 13. He holds a degree in Music from Queens College.A working musician, he also did back-up work for various artists, including Christina Aguillera, Lea Salonga, Nonoy Zuniga, Mike Hanopol, among others.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/175635067256908c50c1d-2bd1-483b-89a5-0951140416ea.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="New York-based musician Eric Celerio. Reyma Deveza, ABS-CBN News  </div>In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, August 27, Eric said the album is a compilation of how he expresses his experiences in different stages of his life. He also shared that what makes the album special is that he used 12 keys for each tune.&quot;Reflections on life, the piano reflecting on different parts of your emotions. Mayroon kang emotion na nagsisisi. Mayroon kang emotion na natutuwa ka sa foundation noong bata ka. May emotion ka na bittersweet, may emotion ka na para sa anak mo, may emotion ka na natutunan mo sa parents mo. Parang inilabas ko &#x27;yung mga feelings na ganoon,&quot; Eric explained.&quot;Naisip ko &#x27;yung mga reflections. Ang lola ko noong araw, naiisip ko siya. So gumawa ako ng kanta sa mga mahal ko sa buhay -- konti lang naman sila: lola ko, girlfriend ko, kapatid ko, nanay ko, anak ko. So sabi ko gagawa ako ng music na bawat isa sa sa kanila na naalala ko. At the same time si Johann Sebastian Bach, classical &#x27;yan. Gumawa siya ng music na 12 keys, bawat isang nota, may key. So ginawa ko 12 rin na bawat isa ay iba&#x27;t ibang key. And I realized na may flavor pala ang mga key,&quot; Eric added.The 13 tracks on his album, which are based on his inspirations, are: &quot;Dreaming,&quot; &quot;Kind Heart,&quot; &quot;Nostalgic,&quot; &quot;Lights,&quot; &quot;Against The Wind,&quot; &quot;Memories,&quot; &quot;Short Images,&quot; &quot;Windows,&quot; &quot;The Waltz,&quot; &quot;Free Spirit,&quot; &quot;The Long Walk,&quot; &quot;Peekaboo,&quot; and &quot;Ragtime Etude.&quot;According Eric, the album is also his way to capture his work as a pianist, the reason he opted not to use vocals on the tracks -- something that was a first for him.&quot;Pianista ako from the start, main instrument ko talagas is piano. I feel like I&#x27;m getting to the age where I don&#x27;t know how long I could play, so I want to kind of record that. So I would say this is my peak, like a swan song. I combined beautiful technique, beautiful melody, touching, it&#x27;s not mechanical. I would say I&#x27;m at my best to this piano recording,&quot; Eric said.Asked of what he would like listeners to takeaway from the album, Eric said: &quot;To take it easy, to be patient, to be patient in life. Kasi every time you&#x27;re in a rush, you are really not accomplishing anything. It&#x27;s the other way around. When you&#x27;re taking time, &#x27;yung progress mo mas maganda. Marami kang nami-miss kapag haste ka.
