HandoutMANILA — Local publishing house Bookshelf PH is bringing fresh stories and indie spirit to the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2025, running Sept. 10–14 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. </div>The publisher is part of this year’s “BooX That Leave a Mark” showcase, a collaborative effort among independent publishers highlighting stories that challenge conventions and resonate with readers. The theme emphasizes the daring spirit of indie publishing, giving space to voices outside the mainstream.“Our goal has always been to champion unique Filipino stories and voices that deserve to be heard,” said Michelle Dulinayan, marketing manager of Bookshelf PH. “The MIBF remains a vital platform for authors, publishers, and readers to connect, and we’re proud to be part of that ongoing celebration of literature.”On September 13, fans will have the chance to meet authors behind &quot;Sari-Sari Stories,&quot; a growing anthology exploring Filipino life and love. Participating writers include Evan Orias, Gwen (Zerodegreescelcius), Shanelle Recheta, JsslAwra, Lucky Charles Historia, and Kae Espejo.Bookshelf PH’s booth will feature a wide range of titles celebrating Filipino creativity, from Laura Nakpil’s “All for Love” and Jacqueline Dominique Go’s illustrated children’s adventure “The Adventures of Damgo: Leon in the Water World,” to Gracy Fernandez’s travel guide “Peak Philippines” and Porsha Mangilit’s entrepreneurial playbook “Gen Z Hustle.”Also included are “Fearless Filipinas 2,” Catherine Anne Castillo’s “In the Darkness of Shards,” anthologies from &quot;Sari-Sari Stories,&quot; Kalpesh Desai’s poetry collection “Jasmines in Her Hair,” and Ernestina Go Shi’s playful “The Fish Series.”Dulinayan said Bookshelf PH’s participation underscores its commitment to promoting Filipino voices and fostering a love of reading. “Promoting literature and nurturing a love for books are crucial for our cultural growth,” she said. “We invite everyone to visit our booth, explore these incredible works, and celebrate the vibrant storytelling tradition of the Philippines.”Bookshelf PH will be at Booth 2-156 for the duration of MIBF 2025.
