<div><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1Nd0CB7fiIY?si=R2E1AJTTL21FbrYT" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>Sony Interactive Entertainment announced on Wednesday a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller to mark the 20th anniversary of &quot;God of War.&quot; The controller, inspired by Kratos’ ashen skin and scarlet tattoo, will launch in October 2025 in select regions.</p><p>In a post on the PlayStation blog, Isabelle Tomatis, vice president for global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, described the design as a tribute to the Ghost of Sparta’s enduring legacy. “The controller pays homage to Kratos, who has taken on countless roles and endless challenges across Ancient Greece and the Nine Realms,” she wrote.</p><p>Dela Longfish, associate art director at Santa Monica Studio, said the team immediately saw the controller as a canvas for Kratos’ iconic tattoo. “No matter which God of War game you’re playing, the shape of his red ink against the gray of his ash-covered skin is one of the most iconic elements of Kratos’ look,” Longfish said. “Our team made sure to represent both of these key tones in the color selection for the controller to make every aspect an authentic homage.”</p><p>The limited edition controller will retail at P4,890 in the Philippines, with prices varying by region, according to PlayStation. Pre-orders open October 3 at participating retailers, though launch dates and availability will differ by country.</p><p>First released on the PlayStation 2 in 2005, &quot;God of War&quot; has since expanded across four console generations, two handheld systems, and more than a dozen games.</p>
