In the video, the orange rants that unlike other fruits such as the mango, its name seems so uncreative because it&#x27;s simply named after its color. Due to the lack of imagination, the orange declared that it preferred be called “Sharmaine.”The strange humor has rapidly resonated with the Filipino netizens, as they began sharing screenshots, creating memes, and referencing the character across social media platforms. In another video, a different character, portrayed as a fly, said its name “fly” was too obvious because of its wings and wanted to change its name to “Vanessa.”The skits have also introduced a new character: an avocado wishing to be called &quot;Melanie.&quot;Due to the videos’ virality, supermarkets have even joined the trend by putting up signs labeling oranges as “Sharmaine.”
