The 2025 MET Gala is set ever first Monday of May. The Met Gala after all is a place to make a statement.While most details of the gala is under wraps, what is known so far is that the deep inspiration is Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The museum exhibition will house 12 sections that groups the pieces as per some essential elements of the dandy style: Ownership, Presence, Distinction, Disguise, Freedom, Champion, Respectability, Jook, Heritage, Beauty, Cool, and Cosmopolitanism.The Met Gala co-chairs for this year includes Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams (each having their own way of expressing Dandyism), and Anna Wintour.
