Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News/File</div>Boracay, Palawan and Siargao ranked among the top Asian islands in a recent readership poll by a leading travel publication, with the Philippineas&#x27; tourism department reaffirming its commitment to preserving the &quot;natural wonders&quot; of these popular destinations.Boracay led the pack, ranking fourth among the top 10 islands in Asia in Condé Nast Traveler&#x27;s 2025 Readers&#x27; Choice Awards, earning 90.54 points.Palawan placed fifth with 90.23 points, while Siargao landed on the seventh spot with 85.49 points, based on the results published on Oct. 7.Vietnam&#x27;s Phú Quốc emerged as the top Asian island with 95.51 points.Rounding out the top 10 islands in Asia are Langkawi, Malaysia (No. 2, 92.99 points); Koh Samui, Thailand (No. 3, 92.7 points); Bali, Indonesia (No. 6, 89.84 points); the Andaman Islands, India (No. 8, 85.33 points); Phuket, Thailand (No. 9, 84.62 points); and the Phi Phi Islands, Thailand (No. 10, 83.27 points).&quot;To see Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao once again among Asia&#x27;s top islands reaffirms our commitment to preserving their natural wonders, advancing sustainable tourism, and ensuring that the prosperity these destinations bring reaches every Filipino,&quot; Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco said Monday in a statement.&quot;These awards belong to our people, their craft, and the spirit of Love the Philippines that we proudly carry forward,&quot; she added.In 2024, the Philippines was also recognized by Condé Nast Traveler for having four islands — Boracay, Palawan, Cebu, and Siargao — featured in Asia’s Top 10 list, making it the only country in the ASEAN region with the most entries.
