Karen Flores Layno, ABS-CBN News</div>SINGAPORE — For its newest ship, Disney Cruise Line (DCL) did not leave any stone unturned in making sure that guests experience magic at every turn, from its themed rooms down to the littlest corners. During the media preview sailing for <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/food-travel/2026/3/13/theme-park-at-sea-disney-adventure-cruise-sets-sail-in-asia-2050">Disney Adventure</a>, which now goes on 3- and 4-night voyages from Singapore, DCL executives reminded guests to look up and down as easter eggs can be seen even on the ship&#x27;s ceilings and floors. Disney Adventure has seven themed areas featuring the entertainment giant&#x27;s beloved films such as &quot;Moana,&quot; &quot;Toy Story,&quot; and &quot;Big Hero 6.&quot; Each zone has its own set of retail, entertainment, and dining offerings — even the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/food-travel/2026/3/17/from-asian-flavors-to-a-secret-bar-dining-on-the-new-disney-adventure-cruise-ship-2019">food and beverages, which lean toward Asian flavors, match the atmosphere</a>.&quot;There really is so much to discover across the ship. Even across the stairwells, we have hundreds of pieces of artwork,&quot; said Courtney Knight, principal interior designer at Walt Disney Imagineering, the creative force behind Disney&#x27;s theme parks and attractions.&quot;Even in your stateroom, we tell eight different stories through the artwork... You can have &#x27;Little Mermaid&#x27; above your headboard, or even &#x27;Lion King,&#x27;&quot; she added.Designed with families in mind, Disney Adventure&#x27;s standard rooms can fit up to four guests (in most cases two parents with two kids, but it can also accommodate four adults), with rates varying based on size and location. Guests here also have their own lounge, sundeck, spa, and fitness center, letting them enjoy the ship&#x27;s offerings without the crowds.There are Concierge suites themed after &quot;The Little Mermaid,&quot; &quot;Aladdin,&quot; and Marvel films, but the grandest accommodations are inspired by the famous sister duo from the global box office hit &quot;Frozen.&quot; Located on both ends of the ship, the Elsa Royal Suite and the Anna Royal Suite feature spacious living rooms, a children&#x27;s bedroom with bunk beds, two en-suite bathrooms, an extended veranda, and even a private whirlpool with ocean views.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1774605873828BeFunky-collage (4).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Karen Flores Layno, ABS-CBN News </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/177459745823220260307_100731.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Karen Flores Layno, ABS-CBN News</div>&quot;When we started designing these suites, we knew they mirrored each other on the ship. And that&#x27;s when I thought it would be really fun to do kind of like sister suites,&quot; shared Knight, saying they made sure each of the Royal Suites reflect the personalities of the two &quot;Frozen&quot; characters. &quot;Elsa&#x27;s suite has very cool hues and snowflake patterns. Even the lighting fixtures look like icicles,&quot; she continued. &quot;Opposite on Anna&#x27;s side, we are celebrating summer in Arendelle. So everything is really rich and warm. The colors are green like her wardrobe, and everything has floral motifs that are found in the forest of Arendelle.&quot;<div>Seamless flow</div>&quot;One of the really cool things we get to do as Imagineers is bring to life in 3D these incredible worlds and locations that we see on our screen,&quot; said Davey Feder, Walt Disney Imagineering&#x27;s senior software project manager as they found ways to make fictional worlds like San Fransokyo from &quot;Big Hero 6&quot; come alive on the Disney Adventure.And it&#x27;s not as simple as recreating things shot-for-shot, with Feder explaining that they have to prioritize how guests move through different spaces. So instead, they captured the lively energy of San Fransokyo by turning one of the ship&#x27;s areas into an entertainment zone brimming with arcade games, cinemas, kids&#x27; clubs, photo spots, and a bar. A subway station entrance greets visitors on Disney Adventure&#x27;s San Fransokyo Street, complete with posters and a life-size map. But in order to make that believable, we felt we needed a subway map that lists all the stops. And that&#x27;s where the challenge began because the movie never had a subway station,&quot; Feder shared. &quot;So we got to do a lot of research into the actual transit system of San Francisco and then think of how it could have evolved based on the events of the film. And where we bring in the influence of Tokyo, and change the language so it fits into the San Fransokyo environment.&quot;The same goal of having a seamless flow between environments can also be seen on the water-themed areas of Disney Adventure: Discovery Reef and Wayfinder Bay. For Discovery Reef, Walt Disney Imagineering used splashes of color to make guests feel like they&#x27;re underwater, with each deck going darker as they go to the bottom. At night, the theatrical lighting creates a bioluminescent effect, with wave ripples and lo-fi music transforming the once-vibrant space. <div> <img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1774606257554Layer 4 (4).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Karen Flores Layno, ABS-CBN News </div>The shops are also themed around water, such as the Bewitching Boba and Brews bubble tea spot (which is inspired by Ursula) and the souvenir store Treasures Untold patterned after Ariel&#x27;s grotto in &quot;Little Mermaid.&quot;The Pixar movie &quot;Luca&quot; serves as the transition from Discovery Bay&#x27;s underwater to land on Wayfinder Bay, with a little Italian village welcoming guests who &quot;come up to the shore.&quot; The space then opens up into a pool area with a bar and tiered seating as well as panoramic views of the ocean, a nod to the movie &quot;Moana.&quot;<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/177459789213420260307_164826.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Karen Flores Layno, ABS-CBN News</div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/177459803207320260306_123034.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Karen Flores Layno, ABS-CBN News</div>&quot;The most striking design element [of that part of the ship] was the incredible view of the ocean. That felt like a natural fit for Moana,&quot; Feder explained. &quot;The ocean is the main character here, so we just incorporated subtle details like murals, patterns on the pool floor, and furniture fabrics inspired by Moana&#x27;s Wayfinder outfits.&quot;&quot;For years, when we were thinking of this design, the ship was sitting in its ship haul in Germany. So we were picturing this beautiful ocean view, but really just looking at the inside of a giant steel warehouse,&quot; he went on. &quot;So we had to use our imagination there, that one day this will be the ocean.&quot;&quot;So it was really satisfying when we finally got the ship out to sea.&quot;
