CHAGEE PH rolls out Apple English Breakfast Tea as part of Tate partnership

Inspired by three still-life artworks from Tate&#x27;s collection, the release also includes the CHAGEE | Tate merchandise collection, bringing together tea, apples, and art in a shared cultural experience.The beverage draws inspiration from two traditions that have endured for centuries. Tea originated in China before becoming a daily ritual in many parts of the world, from East Asian tea houses to British breakfast tables. Apples, meanwhile, have been cultivated across Europe and Asia for thousands of years and have remained a recurring subject in Western art. Apple English Breakfast Tea brings those traditions together in a single cup. Its tea base combines five varieties sourced from different regions. Assam from India provides a full-bodied, malty foundation, while Lapsang Souchong and Highland Qilan from Fujian, China contribute smoky depth and floral notes. The blend is rounded out by Yunnan Golden Pekoe and Four Seasons Spring tea from Taiwan. According to CHAGEE, each tea is roasted and processed separately before being blended under controlled temperature and humidity, allowing their aromas to integrate naturally.Red Fuji apples sourced from Shandong, China, complete the blend. The fruit undergoes whole-fruit cold extraction without added water, sugar, or preservatives before the juice is infused into the tea leaves through a low-temperature process and vacuum drying to preserve its flavor.&quot;Culture has always traveled through food and drink, and tea is probably the best example of that in history. With Apple English Breakfast Tea, we wanted to honor all of those journeys in a single cup, creating something that people from every country and culture can genuinely connect with,&quot; said Christopher Tiong, general manager of CHAGEE Philippines.Beyond the drink, CHAGEE has introduced the CHAGEE | Tate merchandise collection, inspired by three artworks from Tate&#x27;s collection: Henri Fantin-Latour’s “A Plate of Apples” (1861;) Paul Cézanne’s “Still Life with Water Jug” (1892–3); and Mark Gertler’s “The Basket of Fruit,” (1925). The artworks appear on limited-edition cups, insulated carrier bags, and a range of collectible items designed to bring art into everyday life.
