Since then, it has been transformed into a showroom that’s a living archive of prominent works, as well as collaborations with brands and global celebrities.</p><p>The artist wanted a café attached to the showroom. For inspiration, he went back to memories of his mother lulling him to sleep with bedtime fables, particularly “Alice in Wonderland.” He zoomed into that section where Alice took the “Drink Me” potion to shrink to fit into the door to get to the enchanted garden. Cocooned in the cafe, it’s as if guests took that potion to be dwarfed by fantastical flora and fauna, all created and styled by Coponbue.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px;display:block"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1783947411741interiors 2.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Fable Café + Lounge at Bonifacio Global City. <em>Jeeves de Veyra</em></span></span></span></div><p>Though one can spend time delighting in the café’s fantasy interiors, there is a more serious side with a 14-seat room that can be closed off for private functions.</p><p>If restaurant manager Joyce Gonzaga happens to be around, she’ll be glad to show you around and point out specific pieces of interest. Here, crispy pork belly is chopped up, dressed with apple rum, and served on a bed of mashed potatoes. When Fable opened, they had DJs provide the sounds. These days, live jazz bands provide entertainment for a more chill dining experience.</p><p>Fable Café + Lounge makes a case for itself as a dining destination in the city. It’s a place of whimsy where one can just stay a while to chill out to a Kenneth Coponbue experience.</p><div><br/></div><div><em>Fable Café + Lounge can be found on 8th Ave. corner 36th St. in Bonifacio Global City and is open from 11 a.m. to 12 midnight (Sunday to Tuesday) and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.  (Wednesday to Saturday). </em></div>
