<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1786443143598KID_4536.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner">Ocean Park Hong Kong&#x27;s panda twins, Jia Jia and De De, will turn 2 this August 15. <em>Handout</em></span></span></span></div><p>It&#x27;s panda fever at Ocean Park Hong Kong as its adorable twin cubs turn 2 this August. </p><p>The theme park, known for its mix of amusement rides and animal encounters, is all decked out to mark the second birthday of Jia Jia and De De this Saturday, August 15.</p><p>Safe to say, &quot;panda-monium&quot; has taken over here: a birthday countdown zone welcomes visitors at the entrance, and colorful photo spots can be found all over the 91.5-hectare property. One of these installations shows the cute pandas climbing a 5-meter-tall tower of pink birthday buns, inspired by a <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/life/03/16/23/where-to-find-calm-in-bustling-hong-kong">festival in Hong Kong&#x27;s island of Cheung Chau</a>.</p><p>A dizzying lineup of activities and offerings has been available since June, and will run until the end of August. Their parents, Ying Ying and Le Le, were gifted to the city by China in 2007. </p><p>Two other pandas, An An and Ke Ke, were brought in around 2024.</p><p>The six pandas are a core tourism draw not just at Ocean Park, but also in Hong Kong as a whole. But more importantly, these rare mammals are in a place where they can be properly cared for.</p><p>A representative at the park told ABS-CBN News that wildlife conservation is taken seriously here. For a fee, visitors can book interactive sessions such as meeting and feeding sea lions. </p><p>Those who want an adrenaline rush can try thrill rides such as The Flash and Hair Raiser, as well as carnival-style booth games for both kids and adults. For a scenic journey, hop on the free cable car that connects the two main sections of the theme park. </p><p>On top of these, Ocean Park also has seasonal collaborations such as &quot;Marine Wonders,&quot; which runs until August 23.
