<p>From a new TGIFridays branch in BGC to Taco Bell’s latest rice bowls, here are some of the latest developments in the food and beverage scene.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>1. TGIFridays opens at Uptown Mall</strong></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1788326522317Fun, festive Fridays launch at Uptown Mall.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">James Reid joins the fun as TGIFridays opens at Uptown Mall. <em>Handout</em></span></span></span></div><p>TGIFridays has opened its newest branch at Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, expanding its Philippine footprint following recent openings in Laoag, La Union and Iloilo City.</p><p>The new restaurant can accommodate up to 180 diners and features two private function rooms that can seat up to 50 and 16 guests, respectively.</p><p>The branch also offers the All Yours All Day Menu Season 4, starting at P375 for a starter, entrée and drink. Diners can also order TGIFridays staples such as its Signature Whiskey-Glazed Baby Back Ribs, Fried Mozzarella and burgers, as well as Bottomless Mojitos.</p><p>TGIFridays Uptown Mall is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>2. The two-course set costs P888, while the three-course option is P1,300 and includes a complimentary drink.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>3. Rumba introduces new Spanish-Mediterranean dishes and cocktails</strong></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/178832732618033.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Pork Chop Iberico and Paella Mariscos. <em>Handout</em></span></span></span></div><p>Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant Rumba has added new dishes and drinks to its menu, including an Iberico Pork Chop grilled and served with house-made chimichurri.</p><p>The new offerings join Rumba favorites such as Paella Mariscos, Squid Ink Pasta, Pulpo a la Brasa, Smoked Salmon Air Baguette and the Rumba Platter, which combines Pork Belly Paella, Gambas al Ajillo and Mushroom Croquetas.</p><p>New cocktails include the rum-based Sunset Spice, Coconut Pain Killer and Jungle Bird. Endless Sangrias are also available all day for P495.</p><p>For dessert, Rumba has added a sugar-free Panna Cotta with mixed berries.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>4. SaladStop! targets 60% plant-based protein sourcing</strong></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1788327025881SaladStop! Group has set a goal of sourcing at least 60% of its protein from plant-based ingredients across its shops globally.</p><p>The commitment has received recognition from international NGO Lever Foundation. The group already incorporates ingredients such as legumes, seitan, nuts, seeds, whole grains, leafy greens and mushrooms across its brands, which include SaladStop!, Heybo, Wooshi, Smoosha and FreshKitchen.</p><p>The group operates more than 80 outlets across Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong and other markets.</p><p>The protein diversification target is part of the group&#x27;s broader sustainability efforts. SaladStop! became B Corp certified in 2023 and has committed to achieving net zero across its operations by 2030.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>5. Taco Bell launches new rice bowls</strong></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1788327082120Taco Bell Rice Bowl Banner.jpg" style="width:960px;display:block;height:auto" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><p>Taco Bell Philippines has added two new rice bowls to its menu: the Beef Rice Bowl and Grilled Chicken Barbeque Rice Bowl.</p><p>Priced at P249 each, the Beef Rice Bowl combines Mexican rice with seasoned beef, iceberg lettuce, nacho chips, sour cream, jalapeño peppers and diced tomatoes.</p><p>The Grilled Chicken Barbeque Rice Bowl features Mexican rice, char-grilled chicken, iceberg lettuce, nacho chips, fiesta salsa, garlic sauce and barbecue sauce.</p><p>Both are available for a limited time at Taco Bell branches nationwide. A 12-ounce soda can be added for P30.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>6. The brand has also introduced a “Tap, Snap, Nibble” ritual and refreshed packaging for its Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies &amp; Cream, Milky Matcha, Milk Chocolate and Milk variants.</p><p>Pocky Chocolate also gets an updated recipe, with the brand describing it as crispier and more chocolate-forward.</p><p>Pocky is currently available at 103 SM Cinema Snack Time counters across 79 cinemas nationwide.</p>
