CHAGEE brings pure matcha series to PH with ‘The Little Prince’ collab

At every CHAGEE Philippines affair I&rsquo;ve dropped by, the brand never misses a beat reminding us of the art of waiting. You catch the same deliberate energy in its spaces, crafted specifically for you to take a seat, linger over a proper cup, and press pause on the world outside.How ironic, then, that the one thing CHAGEE regulars have been patiently holding out for since the brand first landed on our shores over a year ago is the exact green-hued obsession that has completely hijacked everyone&rsquo;s social feeds and daily order routines: matcha.Now, after all that waiting, CHAGEE is finally putting matcha on the menu in the Philippines. The tea uses the season&rsquo;s first spring harvest, when the leaves are at their youngest and most tender. They are shaded for more than 20 days before harvest, a process that helps develop their deep green color and fuller, smoother flavor. The leaves are then ground into an ultra-fine powder at 1000-mesh, resulting in a texture that CHAGEE says is smooth, without the rough or powdery bits that can sometimes come with matcha.The first drink on the menu is the Signature Matcha Latte, a creamy option served hot or cold for ₱170. Customers can also add an &ldquo;Extra Matcha&rdquo; boost.For something a little lighter, the Jasmine Matcha Pure Tea combines soft floral notes with deeper tea flavors and is available hot or cold for ₱140.Then there is the Chocolate Cookie Matcha Frappe, which folds matcha and chocolate cookie bits into a creamy, ice-cold frappe for ₱225.The most unexpected of the bunch may be the Lime Cheese Matcha Latte, a limited-time cold drink that brings together matcha, fragrant lime, and creamy cheese. It is priced at ₱199 without the cheese topping and ₱225 with the Cheese Cap.<div>A little &lsquo;The Little Prince&rsquo; magic</div>The matcha series also comes with a familiar literary companion.CHAGEE has partnered with &ldquo;The Little Prince,&rdquo; the 1943 story by Antoine de Saint-Exup&eacute;ry, bringing its world of stars, travel, and small moments into the campaign. The collaboration appears across CHAGEE stores, cups, and specially designed merchandise.There is something rather fitting about pairing the book with a collection built around taking things slowly. Those buying any matcha drink can also bundle their order with the Stardust Tote Bag for ₱599 or the Green Wonder Tumbler for ₱799.For Christopher &ldquo;Sonny&rdquo; Tiong, general manager of CHAGEE Philippines, the collaboration began with the drink itself.&ldquo;We started with the matcha itself and gave it the care it deserves,&rdquo; he said, adding that the partnership with &ldquo;The Little Prince&rdquo; felt natural because of its message about holding on to what really matters.In a city that rarely slows down, a quiet moment with a good cup of tea might just be it.
