ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA — On its 17th year, the MaArte Fair is breaking a record. This year, the fair will showcase more than 200 exhibitors from different parts of the country — from fashion, to perfume, to skincare, to accessories. “MaArte Fair is the biggest MaArte fair yet. Over the years, we keep growing,” executive director Tanya Pico told ABS-CBN News.The fair started in 2009.  “In 202,2 we had 90 (exhibitors). In 2023, we had 120. In 2024, we had 150. Last year 2025, we had 173. And just when we thought that we couldn’t grow bigger, we actually did. This year, we had 220 exhibitors for you,” Pico said.One of the biggest drivers is the young generation of artists and art enthusiasts through the years.“It’s also inspiring to see our young artisans, designers, want to choose MaArte as their platform for their designs,” said Pico. Blen Fernando, board trustee of the Museum Foundation, said “MaArte Fair is “not just for fundraising for the sake of fundraising.” “It’s not about money, it’s not about numbers, how many we can attract, how many sellers are there. It’s really part of a deeper purpose,” Fernando said.“And our purpose is to give back whatever we earned from it. For many projects and one of them are the grants. We give out grants such as let’s say a small museum, scholarships, local scholarships much better, anything that is relatively accessible to the public. As well as, it should be something that would build heritage, history, culture and arts.”MaArte Fair is happening from August 13 to 16 at The Peninsula Manila, in Makati. It features exhibitors including Baler, Aurora-based clothing brand Pam Pinay, perfumery A.Mara, Ligaw Travel Accessories, Mele+Marie, skincare line Dermtropics, One Weave from Tondo, FamPH, Lokal by Alixia Marie PH, and Locallae.
