Gusto ko lang din naman mapakita sa tao na we may come from different pageants may Binibini, Miss World, Miss Earth, but iisa lang yung purpose namin, yung hangarin namin. It’s to help other people,” Tiglao said. “Ang beauty pageant, it’s not just all about entertainment but about inspiring and helping a lot of people.”Proceeds from the bazaar will go directly to the Likhaan Center for Women’s Health, an organization that provides essential health services to underserved women.Among the queens who participated were Joy Barcoma, Krishnah Gravidez, Myrna Esguerra, Sofia Bianca Santos, Nikki Buenafe, and Chelsea Fernandez.For Barcoma, the event was an opportunity to redefine what it means to be a beauty queen.“It’s really to set that tone to everybody that beauty queens are not just for stages. We’re not just here to showcase our beauty, talents or pasarelas, more so our advocacy and we have been living up to that advocacy ever since, and we’d like to continue that forward,” she said.Miss World Philippines titleholder Krishnah Gravidez shared how she personally contributed to the cause, bringing items she had collected over the years.“I brought four [pieces of] luggage today because I have so [many] clothes and naipon ata siya for three years, andun lang,” Gravidez said.Meanwhile, Myrna Esguerra highlighted the importance of continuing their advocacies even after pageant season ends.“I think it’s very important to show everyone that our advocacy is real, and it’s really happening and we practice it even after the competition,” she said.
